「The property was very convenient to everything in Salem including the short walk to the commuter rail depot to Boston. Our room and the bathroom were very small, which was disappointing since we stayed there 5 nights. When we checked in I asked the desk attendant if we could get a bigger room and she told me I should have done this request with Expedia prior to checking in. I was ot happy with her attitude and unresponsiveness. In summary it is a great historic hotel and very convenient.」

「There was plenty of parking, which made my stay very convenient. It's about a 20-minute walk to downtown Salem, and I enjoyed being able to walk into town. I do think the room could have been cleaned a bit better, as the end tables hadn't been wiped down. The TV screen also appeared to have chemical damage, with pink drip marks visible across the top of the screen. I notified the front desk before checking out so they were aware. 「Cute little lodge . The front desk is open only 9 to 5. Provisions are made for coming and going after hours. Parking is directly behind the building. Free 8pm to 8am . 50 cents an hour otherwise. Easy to pay with app. Location is convenient for theaters and restaurants. You can walk everywhere. Hotels in this area are very high priced and this one is no exception, but a little less than the big chains. We therefore chose the least expensive room with a king bed as we were staying only 1 night...

That said, we were welcomed with very a friendly, informed, efficient front of house - coffee tea and water available.
