2. Charming 2-bedroom house with WiFi and AC in lovely Ukiah

Ukiah

"I was in town on business, solo traveler. The VRBO page shows a different neighborhood. I grew up here so I know the neighborhoods well. I picked it because it showed the house in a decent neighborhood. When I got the address, the day before checking in, I realized it was nowhere near the location advertised. That could be VRBO’s fault. It’s located on a very sketchy neighborhood, with homeless sleeping across and up the street. Next door is a lot with an old building and abandoned RVs. The back...

"Located on a lovely property in the woods near Gualala, Maria's home was a clean and spacious place for our family of five to spend five days exploring the Mendocino coast. Maria communicated clearly and responded promptly whenever we had any questions. The house was well-stocked with everything we needed. There was a storm when we arrived but the house was automatically operating on back-up generator power, and with consistent WiFi, several smart TVs, and a ping-pong table downstairs, we were...

Top Philo Hotel Reviews

Harbor Lite Lodge

10/10 Excellent

"Clean room & facilities. Staff very courteous."

Anderson Valley Inn

10/10 Excellent

"I’ve stayed here multiple times over the years and it continues to be a gem in the valley. The beautiful remodel has made an already lovely property even better. I ended up extending my stay, which says it all! The staff are wonderful, responsive, and welcoming. A special place I’m always happy to return to and highly recommend."

Wharf Master's Inn

10/10 Excellent

"This has been a highlight of our trip down the coast. It was a beautiful place to stop along our trip! The morning views from the balcony were spectacular! We enjoyed the light breakfast and the staff was very helpful! It was fun walking around the ocean and the pier. The restaurant below was an added bonus."

Heritage House Resort & Spa

10/10 Excellent

"Absolutley wonderful property. The setting is unmatched. The views unrivaled. Worth the drive and travel 100%. I'll never forget the amazing smell of the evergreens, cedar, and eucalyptus -- that's what all the candles I've ever bought were aiming to mimic but can't beat the real thing. Restaurant was wonderful. The grounds kept beautifully. You won't regret it!"

Agate Cove Inn

8/10 Good

"We loved the Agate Cove Inn. Our only complaint is that we couldn't figure out the TV no matter how many times we tried. Fortunately we weren't there to watch TV! The fireplace was very cozy and took off the chill as there isn't central heat or AC in the units. My husband thought the bed was too soft but I liked it. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. Would stay there again."

SCP Mendocino Inn and Farm

10/10 Excellent

"Loved this property and the people working for it. Everyone was so kind and helpful. The breakfast was such a nice amenity. The restaurant on premises is so nice as is the food selection and servers. The grounds are well maintained, Enjoyed seeing the birds and farm animals. Enjoyed the 24 hour tea and coffees. The rooms are so clean with nice linens and super comfortable mattress. This place is truly everything I’d look for in a inn."
