This is the first negative review I've ever written, but I think it's necessary because I don't want other families to go through what we did. We rented all 4 units for our family coming in town for our Thanksgiving gathering.
First, the good: Location and units have a nice layout and accommodate a large family.
Now the bad: (I have limited space here so I will bullet point the issues)
- Terrible check-in. Didn't get email with codes until I called and texted and emailed many times. Finally got them 20 minutes after our check-in time.
- 2 beds collapsed. They were held together with blue painters tape.
- Lots of glass shards in area rug in 1 unit. We reported immediately and it took 24 hours for maintenance to respond, but things weren't fixed then.
- No pots/pans in that unit
- Air conditioner didn't work
- Shower handle fell off in another unit
- Remote to control overhead fan and light was missing
- many other smaller issues.
The biggest problem is that the manager completely quit communicating. They never acknowledged the problems (except the missing light remote). I finally had to contact VRBO and spent 90 min on the phone. VRBO contacted owner to explain the issues. I never heard from the manager again, despite many attempts.The unit with the glass was uninhabitable for at least 36 hours and we had to figure out other accommodations. Eventually the beds were fixed, the area rug was removed, and pots were brought in. We were never told of this. Horrible stay
