"Access to the property is a problematic at present due to major road works and road closure. Parking is an issue at the property; however, there is a 24 hour long stay car park within a 10minute walk but obviously luggage has to be walked across as well. Newly refurbished room and bathroom - clean and simple. Adequate breakfast freshly cooked. Above a pub so busy. Good staff and service "

"This is a really lovely place to stay.Very clean, quite,cosy with a real fire.From the windows you get a lovely view of the gardens.Holmfirth is just a 20 minute walk.Hosts were very helpful.Would we go back? YES."

"The property is ideally located for our needs and sounded perfect in the online listing. My partner was greeted by the owner and shown around ( I wasn't there) and all seemed well...BUT, no one mentioned the road works right outside the window from 8am, the water running down the bedroom wall when it rains, or the fact that one of the windows just won't close.The furniture and fitting are minimal and cheap, with only enough hanging space for a couple of shirts, the most uncomfortable bed , the awful smell of stale water from downstairs......I could go on, but suffice to say, we were glad to leave!!"

"We stayed for 3 nights in the apartment that is spilt. It is beautifully decorated and extremely clean. Great location which is right in the middle of town. We were greated by Yasi and Roch, who made us feel so welcome.They own the cafe downstairs which we had an amazing breakfast in one morning. An yasi's carrot cake is a must try!The apartment we stayed in is split-so bathroom/shower and kitchen area is across from the room an seperate but it hardly made a difference. We appreciated how yasi and roch generally wanted the stay to be a home away from home. They did let us know it gets noisy on the weekend. Which friday night it did but it didnt effect us much an we all slept great still. Thank you for having my little family for the weekend, we really enjoyed our stay and hope to stay with you again soon x"
