Wir haben für eine Woche die Villa San Gerardo für unser jährliches Familientreffen gemietet. Es war eine wunderbare Zeit für alle, egal welchen Alters. Es erwartete uns ein großes Grundstück mit sehr schöner Poolanlage. Das Haus hat seinen historischen Charme, die Zimmer sind schön eingerichtet, alles macht einen sehr sauberen Eindruck. Alles funktionierte gut, das während unseres Aufenthaltes optional in Anspruch genommene Reinigungsteam hat außerordentlich gute Arbeit geleistet. Die Erreichbarkeit von Einkaufsmöglichkeiten bzw. Sehenswürdigkeiten (Etna, Taormina) ist gut.Aufgrund einiger Mängel konnten wir leider keine 5 Sterne vergeben:Es gibt gelegentlichen Besuch von Riesenkäfern in der Küche und in einigen Schlafräumen, die wir versuchten mit entsprechenden Mitteln zu vertreiben.Einige Zimmer liegen zur Straße (SS120). Leider ist der Lärmschutz der Fenster nicht gut, sodaß der nächtliche Durchgangsverkehr doch dem ein oder anderen Familienmitglied den Schlaf raubte.Am Pool fehlten Sonnenschirme. Wir konnten uns behelfen, indem wir für die Sonnenliegen mit der ziehenden Sonne immer ein anderes schattiges Plätzchen gesucht haben.Vielleicht kann der Vermieter sich dieser Punkte annehmen und das Haus wird von zukünftigen Mietern 5 Sterne bekommen.

A great place for a special birthday

The villa delivered everything that was promised. Francesco the manager went out of his way to help me arrange events to entertain my house guests for my week-long birthday party. This included the chef Salvina and her team who cooked dinner for us all on 5 of the 7 nights. With 14 guests there were several allergy/food issues which she managed very professionally. The opera recital on the night of my birthday was very special. All my guests are enthusing about the week and the villa and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it for a similar, special party. Pink Bob

Incredible place to stay looking up to Mt Etna

Absolutely incredible place, the pictures definitely don’t do justice for how good the house is. Francesco was awesome to deal with, would highly recommend to anyone considering a trip to Sicily.
