Great place for the money. Mr. Biggie Smalls, the owner's doggie, really knows how to "seal the deal"!

Really enjoyed my stay. Sunsets are beautiful. Looking forward to staying again and bringing my dog to hang out with Biggie Smalls (resident dog). Really enjoyed driving the winding roads on the way up to the cabin.
The property is a great escape! Exactly what the listing shows, very clean and all the amenities. Really great secluded location with access to activities in the area. Bonfire , hot tub and cabin ! Great host, communicates and responds quickly ! Definitely going back
Had a great stay. A quiet and beautiful area. Cabin was very clean and had everything we needed. Melissa was an awesome host! We plan to return in the fall.
The cabin was everything that we needed. We were in search of relaxation, peace, and calm from the storm(s) of life. This cabin gave us that and so much more. My sweetheart and I were able to reconnect and connect in new, unimaginable ways, paving the way for a fresher and stronger relationship. We have already made the determination that we will do business with Melissa in the near future. She was professional, kind, and hospitable.
This little cabin was just right for the two of us. We were traveling during the day and staying at the cabin at night. The sunsets were beautiful. The cabin was clean and the bed was comfortable. It was very quiet at night. The host was very accommodating and responsive to texts. We had a good experience at the Sugar Shack.
It was so nice to be out and away from the chaos of Noel but to be close enough to enjoy it. Melissa was a great host and made our stay relaxing! I can't wait to go back

If you’re looking for the perfect place to escape reality (and your laundry pile), the Little Sugar Shack is it. This cozy cabin was the couple’s getaway we didn’t know we desperately needed until we walked in and saw mushroom-print sheets that instantly cured my anxiety.Clean? Spotless. Cozy? Like being wrapped in a flannel hug. Romantic? Let’s just say the bed was so comfy we actually considered never leaving it.Everything about this place says, “relax, reconnect, and pretend you’re woodland creatures who pay no bills.” 10/10 recommend for anyone who needs a break from life, work, or just wants to live in a Pinterest board for a weekend. We’re already planning our next trip back. Might even buy matching mushroom pajamas to really commit.
WE WANTED PEACE AND QUIET AND THATS WHAT WE GOT. HAD A WONDERFUL TIME SITTING ON THE PORCH DRINKING COFFEE AND WATCHING THE SUNSET ....... RECOMMEND FOR ANYONE
The Little Sugar Shack was a perfect little weekend retreat for my husband and I! It was perfectly clean, the bed was comfy and Melissa made sure we had everything we needed to be comfortable for our weekend. The surroundings are beautiful and so quiet and peaceful! And the hot tub was amazing, located just behind the cabin. Melissa is an outstanding hostess, top notch! I can’t say enough about her hospitality. We will be back!! And FYI - kayak rental is available on the property!
The Sugar Shack was the absolute perfect little couples retreat that I was hoping it would be.
The Shack is beautiful, perfectly clean, surprisingly spacious, and even better than the listing makes it out to be. This is the perfect little getaway for someone looking to be on their own or with nature.
I cannot reccomend this place enough. And the host is absolutely amazing. Add onto this a very nice hottub and incredible sunset views, and the Sugar Shack of Southwest Missouri is worth every single penny.

Disliked: Communication, listing accuracy
the cabin was as described, really quite and private property. we arrived and were thrilled. the host messaged me saying she was laid back and lived on the property but was working at the time so we were welcomed to check in at our convenience. everything was great until the host showed up unannounced and started mowing just as we were going to grill our lunch. she proceeded to argue with us about our additional guest claiming her “liability doesnt cover guest.” when we tried to offer solutions and explain we were having family time she was extremely rude and uninterested in finding solutions. we were extremely disappointed as everything about the location and cabin was perfect for a day get away but had to abruptly pack up and leave due to hostile host. there was nothing on the listing about maximum occupancy and claims events were allowed. if you want no privacy and a hostile host that will argue semantics, perfect place. otherwise, dont waste your money and peace!
