With my experience at the time of our stay from Feb 27-March 6, was not good as we had a toilet issue and the hotel didn’t do much to accommodate us. Also they had no maintenance person on site and I had to take care of the issue myself. They said at the end of our stay that they would credit us 1night but we have yet to see the credit back to us. I rate them a 2.5

This hotel is close enough to walk throughout the center of Playa del Carmen. The rooftop pool and restaurant are lovely. They have underground parking for an additional fee. If you are hoping to go clubbing, you can walk to all the major clubs nearby without having the noise from them ruin your nights sleep. The only low point was the water pressure in the shower was very low, but I also experienced that at another hotel in town, so it might just be the case everywhere.

The hotel itself was great. Location, staff, food. I read the reviews before I went and I felt people said “a little noisy” I cannot stress enough that this would be calling a tornado “ a little windy”. It is loud. If you stay up til 1am with loud bar/club music it’s gonna be great for you. If you prefer your hotel to be the place you go to for some rest and relaxation to step away from the noise and the chaos, it will not be there. The doors are very thin and light so it does not offer sound dampening. The front desk does offer ear plugs upon request though. Again everything else was great, I had no complaints in regards to cost, staff, drinks, food. As far as location I don’t think it could be beat. It was off 5th avenue and was an easy walk but less congested, but had a park area across the street that street vendors set up, so still plenty within feet of the room.

The entertainment at the hotel is extremely loud every night even with earplugs it doesn't help!! Free breakfast included is very limited to what you can actually have, the pool is very small and the hotel rooms are run down. The staff at the hotel is very friendly and helpful though.

Staff was not attentive. The treated event patrons with a higher priority than the guest. We spent 5 days battling to connect to the Internet and 2 days with no television. The music is so loud your ears will be ringing. Bring ear plugs if you must stay. The only thing that worked correctly in the hotel was the AC. Will not stay here again. Try the Palms at Playa or Hotel MiMi

Wonderful week! Best place to stay in Playa del Carmen if you enjoy evening activities! Emiliano at reception is awesome. Coraleena’s smiling face each morning at breakfast made our day. Clean room - thank you staff for towel creatures! We will definitely stay here again.

Never staff at desk. Had to wait 30 minutes past check in for someone to come and check me in. Water worked only sometimes. Water quit on me 3 times during one quick shower. Quit on me with soap on my face. Had to wait 20 minutes or so for water to turn back on after each time it shut off. There were a few roaches seen.. Could never get the room temperature comfortable. They don’t tell you this online but you only get one towel to use every 3 days because that’s when they come back to clean your room. If you want more towels you can get them for a fee but that’s IF they have any clean ones to give to you. They say events on the roof end at 11:00PM to allow people quiet to rest. Events actually went on all night. Can hear it loud and well from your room. Broken glass in and around the pool. Saw a child cut his foot on glass. Yes, a CHILD at this ADULTS ONLY hotel. We left and paid more for a different hotel because it was that bad.

Upon check-in, there was extra taxes/fees that we paid. We were later asked to pay them again after being told we didn’t pay enough at check-in. Paid the correct amount but the hotel didn’t have any pesos or dollars to give us change. Waited 2 days to get change. The room I booked was not the room I received. This is a party hotel, every night of our stay there was loud music until at least midnight. Our room 210 was directly over the patio/kitchen/bar. Music was blasting at 7:30 one morning after the after midnight party the night before. Woke up one morning around 5am with no running water. Water came back on around 8 or 9 but it was very brown. This ruined our plans for an excursion that was leaving by 10:30. Nothing said from management about the water issue or water bottles provided to even brush teeth or wash your face. We had an early flight so we were leaving the hotel before 7am. Thought no one was there at the desk, all lights were out. Having a conversation with my spouse about what to do with the keys and getting our deposit , a man rose up from the floor behind the counter, asleep and possibly intoxicated. He couldn’t get us or our other family members checked out properly as he was very disoriented. We had to leave as our taxi was waiting to take us to the airport, not knowing if we were checked out. This was a disastrous stay and will NEVER stay here again.

The staff were really kind but half the time I had trouble finding someone to talk to. It is hard to reach them on WhatsApp and I don’t hear back for days. My main issue during my stay was that the toilet didn’t flush for 3 of the 5 days I was there, and the sink had brown water even though I left it running for a minute to clear up. At times, we had no water at all and the shower was off. The free included breakfast is very limited and you can only order 1 thing per person, I got 2 eggs and a salad with toast and another time 2 pancakes. When we checked in, the mini bar was not stocked and they tried to charge us for items we did not take (why would we get chips or chocolate when there are marquesitas right outside???). It seemed like the room was not entirely tidied when we were inside. The area is very central and walkable. They have events on the rooftop most nights so if you sleep early and like quiet, this is not the hotel for you. Most of the music was also geared toward older retired white Floridians but on Fridays they do Afrobeats. Even when the rooftop closes at about 12am, you can still hear the market across the street until maybe about 1-2am. Overall it’s a cute hotel that could be better maintained (a lot of the interior is worn down, cracked, and our mirror had a lot of stains and peeling), but I would not stay here again due to all the inconveniences I experienced.

Room filthy, no towels, water didn't work, no toilet paper without request, unsecured. The worst hotel we ever had to stay in. This building should be condemned. Expedia should be ashamed to list this property. A refund of some type should given and this place shouldn't be listed.

No water for several hours. Water pressure was not good any of my 6 days stay. The toilet did not work at all the last night. I had early checkout the attendance was asleep on the floor. He was not able to check us out due to he was very disoriented. We had a plane to catch so we left hoping the deposit will be on our cards.

We had a wonderful stay at Cache. Great location and nice rooms. They do have live music at night so be aware if you are looking for something more quiet, but we didn’t mind since we had earplugs. The rooftop pool was also very nice and friendly staff. Gracias!
