I paid for one thing I got entirely another
I was on a business trip to Playa Del Carmen. This property looked ideal as originally there were to be 3 of us traveling. Covid complications arose so it turned out it was just me. I chose this rental due to it advertising a HUGE curve screen tv w cable and netflix I was to be working non stop so that would be my company. It also featured a full kitchen so I'd not have to eat out every meal and had air con. Perfect, right? Day 1 I went to the Grocery bought steaks, etc...(things for a functional kitchen only the gas stove wasnt working properly and was not cooking just shooting flame straight up. Now, Ive owned gas oven before but this being mexico, Im not going to fool around with it. (fixed +2 weeks later after all my food perished) on the 3rd day after attempting every combo possible w the AC Unit (which is too small to cool a double open plan 2 floors.) I noted its blowing air but its not cold... the next day it diesd and showed an error code (turned out no coolant was in the unit so impossible to conition to cold) fixed nearing the close of may stay after approx 3 weeks. rolling blackouts between my first and second week made the previous issues plus this (which I realize is an issue beyond the owner's control) aaand to top it off? The freaking TV picture tube burned out my last week (perhaps due to it operating in a freacking hot place). So, everything that attracted me to this place was scratched off the 'features' list and invalidated my reasons for choosing it. I paid quite a bit (+1,700 usd) and were i to rent a place in Playa w no tv, no ac and no kitchen it would be less than 1k ! I politely requested a very fair 250 $USD rebate. Nope.
