Seriously Book This Place!!

Our family booked Villa Sol y Luna for a one in a life time vacation experience. We were a party of 15 with 3 generations of parents and cousins ages 12-69. From the start, the manager Melanie took all of our questions, assisted with booking transportation, made referrals for photography and an excursion for my mom’s must do Chichén Itzá tour and the hired chef services including units groceries to be stocked before we arrived. At arrival we had such ease with our private transport and then were greeted by Melanie and house staff, Don Pedro, Alba, Alex and Lucelie who were so incredibly helpful getting us in and showing us the house. During the week, Melanie was a text away to help with additional arrangements including taxi services for shopping at nearby Puerto Morelos. Chef Beto and his assistant Diego prepared such amazing dishes which even the most picky eater in our group was able to enjoy (do this!!). The staff worked very hard to keep the house clean and the grounds beautiful (even despite the sea grass and excess water that had been brought in by recent storms). This services and care made it so it was nothing but a completely relaxing vacation with no worries about anything. Our entire visit we felt welcomed and received such great care from everyone. It was truly a perfect once in a lifetime trip for us. I’m almost out of characters. Thank you for the beautiful property and amazing staff + Coco. Incredible Stay & The Best Staff

We could not have asked for a better experience. Melanie was second to none in service and reliability. The chef's food was some of the better food I've had when traveling (even cooking for 18 guys). The house was everything we needed and more. Beach was amazing. Thoroughly impressed with the staff and the house. We will be back.

great secluded spot

Nice place! Great beach and feels like Mexico...very chill and authentic. The house lent itself to our corporate retreat meetings very well, and everyone still had their own space in their rooms or pool/rooftop/beach to get away and relax. Very close to Puerto Morelos for a boat ride and Playa for a nice dinner out. Loved it! Don Pedro and the crew were awesome and even showed us the neighboring alligator mama and her babies, and TURTLES! (don't touch them y'all...they gotta get to the ocean on their own!)

The BEST 50th Birthday!

We had my 50th birthday party at Villa Sol y Luna and we had an amazing time! The Villa was perfect for the 12 of us. Chef Ismael and his team made wonderful food at each meal! If you book here having them cook the meals is a must. Melanie, Don Rafael and the rest of the house staff are too good to be true and I miss seeing them all already. Thank you for the great experience Rafael!!!!!

Perfect for Families

House is perfect for families and the chef services are a must! Staff is amazing, location is perfect. It has everything needed to make a seaside, beach vacation perfect. House is a bit rundown and doesn't look exactly like listing as I think the pictures are from a few years ago but it doesn't diminish the experience. Melanie who is the main contact is very helpful and responsive. On site staff couldn't have been better!

Great for a large family

We had 10 adults and 13 children from age 2 to 16. Plenty of room for everyone to have their own bed. A nice feature is a private bath for each room. I recommend hiring Ismael the chef. Did a great job, delicious food.

Great stay, small hiccups!

I can't say enough good things about the house manager, Melanie, and the chef services. The Chefs were wonderful and Melanie was so attentive and helpful. The house, beach, and pool are fantastic - it truly was an amazing environment. I did have a few miscommunications with the owner and he withheld money. It didn't feel good that I had to do my own detective work to get a proper refund, but once I laid it out he did refund me. Outside of the money mishap, it was a great stay.

Amazing experience

Magical family vacation

It’s hard to summarize such an incredible trip in a few words. From the moment we booked this home, Melanie was available to answer questions and book experiences. When we arrived, the home and grounds were more than we could have hoped for. The rooms were spacious and clean with large comfy beds, bathrooms, and direct outside access. The backyard was perfect for our family- beautiful pool, sand area for the kids to play in, and walls all around so it was easy to keep track of the kids. The beach was right outside the backyard and the attentive staff made sure the beach was always seaweed free for us to enjoy. But what really made this trip special was chef Jorge. His food was creative, authentic and absolutely delicious and he paid attention to what our family enjoyed and made sure to stock up accordingly when he went the grocery store. Finally, we took advantage of massages on the rooftop and a tequila tasting on the patio- both were perfect. We aren’t huge tequila drinkers but the experience was so fun and we learned so much! We were spoiled on this trip and I cannot recommend it enough to any group looking for a getaway with the perfect mix of privacy and attention.

Best trip ever

We had our whole family go to playa sol y Luna. There were 21 of us ranging from 70 to 7 and we had the best time. The house had so much room for everyone, was so clean and and well kept. The staff was amazing and so helpful and kind. So thankful for all of them- Melanie was super easy to get ahold of too if we needed anything. Pedro and alba were also close by if we needed anything or had any questions. The beach was beautiful and the water crystal clear even during seaweed season in playa. So many fun things to do we changed plans to have more days there. We were so happy with our trip we are wanting to come back again next year.

Wonderful Home! Great view of the beach from the living room!

Best Family Vacation in Years

SolyLuna is a clean, spacious property that is superbly managed and staffed. My wife and I hosted 22 children, spouses and grandchildren there for a week and retained the chefs for 3 meals a day. The house was thoroughly cleaned daily. The food was superb and the people who work there are gracious and kind. We felt like guests in a 5 star hotel all our own for a week.

Where dreams are made.

Where do I begin? This was an absolute magical vacation. There was a total of 15 of us, ranging from age 70 to 5, Villa Sol Y Luna provided the most magical vacation ever for all of us. From Melanie‘s coordination and concierge service to Ismail, Norma and Rudolfo’s amazing chef service and hospitality, made this trip absolutely amazing. The daily cleaners and groundskeeper, Pedro made this feel like a true private resort. We opted to go with their recommended menu and hired chef service for all three meals for the seven days, not once was it less than perfect for us. All of the wives of the group were so rested and relaxed from not having to shop, do dishes, plan meals and cook! Between the pool table, basketball hoop, swimming pool, ping-pong table, cornhole, oh and not to mention the beach, there was a place for everyone. The beds, bedding and room layout were perfect. Truly magical, thank you SolyLuna!

Wonderful family vacay house!

Sol y Luna was the perfect place to celebrate my husband's 75th birthday get-together! We had 4 children and spouses, 6 grandkids (ages 18 months to 8 years old) and 2 nannies joining us at this very special house. We stayed in the main house and there was plenty of room for all. The manager (Melanie) and the staff (Alba, Luis, Josefina and Pedro) were such lovely and helpful people, can't say enough about them. The pool and beach were great (although we did have a bit of sargassum) but still had the best time. Very important: we had Chef Ismael (and Norma and helper) prepare our brunch and dinners each day and the food was excellent! All 16 of us loved the food and not having to go shopping and cleaning up after. Chef Ismael was so accommodating, (as was Melanie) so if you are reading this, a big Thank You from all of us!!!! Fantastic Time

Our family had a great time having family time and relaxing at the Villa Sol y Luna. The house was perfect for our needs. The staff were practically invisible but did a fantastic job. We took advantage of the chef and his crew. The food at every meal was beyond our expectations. Everyone in our group had something they liked and we never left a meal hungry. The Covid testing to return home was easy & simple. It was great to have the doctor come to us the day before our flights home to test us. The whole group had a great time and we all wanted to stay and enjoy the Caribbean beach & weather a little longer. Thank you for a great week.

Fabulous Family/Friend Vacation

We were a group of 19...ages 5-55. The home was a perfect fit for both privacy -each bedroom w/ it’s own bath (comfortable beds)and great areas for gatherings and meals! The verandas (one on each level) were spectacular for sunrises and the rooftop lounge for sunsets! Pool was great. Beach was perfect...more than enough chairs, umbrellas etc. Don Pedro & his dog Coco were delightful as were the housekeepers! Don’t hesitate for a minute about hiring the chef and crew...they were spectacular! The food was authentic and delicious. Not one of the 19 were disappointed. Their service was spot on and flexible! They were super helpful with getting groceries and beverages for us daily! Chef Ishmael , Rodolfo and Genero were so very helpful and gracious...having them prepare our meals made it a true vacation! We loved the family of crocodiles next door and we enjoyed massages on the rooftop! Melanie the manager was extremely helpful! We had no issues whatsoever! Our only regret, was leaving! Each one of us would go back and stay at Villa Sol y Luna in a heartbeat!

Extremely friendly and communicative. Beautiful beach front!

My friends and I were doing a week away and found this property. From the first message, Rafael (owner), Melanie (manager), Chef Ismael, and the rest of the villa staff were welcoming and extremely responsive to our many questions and requests. Although we had to cut our trip short due to Hurricane Delta, they helped keep us up to date with the hurricane's forecast and our options. The property is just a quick 30 minute ride from the airport, and the beach front is beautiful. Being next to other private residences, there was little traffic on th beach which was nice. We had Chef Ismael and his assistance cooking for us. Everything was very tasty and the Chef was happy to accommodate and of our requests and shipping list items. Would definitely consider staying at the Villa again if I travel back to Cancun!

Do not hesitate to book this villa

I wish I’d written immediately after our stay so it was fresh in my memory. We were eight adults and seven grandchildren in the house was perfect. There was plenty of room for everyone the food was absolutely fabulous, the pool, the beach, the grounds, and the staff were absolutely perfect. We had the chef service’s for brunch and dinner every day; finally a true holiday for everyone (especially those that usually have to cook). My only regret is that I dip not speak Spanish as I would have loved to have spoken in more detail to those that took such wonderful care of us all. Do not have any hesitations about booking this gorgeous and special home.

Best Vacation Ever! Don't hesitate to book! And hire the Chef!

We booked in Jan 2019 for a Christmas vacation with 8 adults and our 9 grandchildren ranging from age 1 to 18 years. I was a little concerned that the villa was to good to be true, but I am happy to say that our vacation was everything we hoped for and more!!! I honestly can't say enough good things about the Villa and the accommodating staff. Even the most picky members of our group had nothing to complain about! --Melanie, the manager, responded promptly and graciously to our questions before we arrived. She arranged our rides to and from the airport and also for two day trips. She also set up our massage appts. (Excellent Massage Therapists at a very reasonable price!) During our stay she was only a text away! --Chef Ishmael, his wife Norma and Rodolfo, were totally amazing, accommodating and, in the opinion of the finance members of our family, hiring them was the best decision we made! Since there were so many of us...17 in total…going out to eat would have been a logistical nightmare and incredibly expensive! Norma makes the best guacamole EVER and the French Toast was so good...we had it twice! We gave the chef free rein and he never failed...everything was delicious and authentically Mexican which we asked for. The fruit arrangements he made were delightful and delicious including 2 different Christmas trees and a Snowman! He also stocked the downstairs refrigerator with the beer, wine and sodas we asked for in advance. Don Pedro was wonderful and the children loved Coco, his dog, who followed him everywhere. He recognized our need for more life vests and provided them before we could even ask! He keeps the property in pristine condition. --The cleaning staff, Ioida and Alba had a difficult task but did an amazing job cleaning around all the "stuff" we brought with us. I especially liked the organics recycling available! --Our family commented that even though the staff and chef were around it never felt intrusive or awkward. Lots of beds and bathrooms to accommodate everyone! There are so many things to do that we were never bored...kayaking, boogie boards, swimming pool, beautiful sandy beach with very few people on it...just a few walkers, hammocks, bean toss, ping pong, and a tidal pool to explore just a short walk down the beach. Wi-fi was available for the little time we were on our "electronics"! This was the perfect vacation spot for our family and everyone is asking grandpa if we can do it again! Soon!

Great people and service

We had 16 family members stay for a week and the cleaners, property maintenance, property manager, chef and staff were fantastic. Many games to play that kept the kids busy when not in the pool or on the beach and everyone is very pleasant to talk to.

Best Ocean Front Rental Property in this area to Host a YOGA Retreat!

This house has it all. The house was large, very spacious. There were 19 of us and we did not feel cramped in any room. The rooms are large, air-conditioned and very clean. The bedding's, towels and amenities were perfect for this trip. It is nestled between a few resorts but the property is very private and the beach was super clean with fun water amenities (kayaks, body boards and snorkel gear). The hammocks were super relaxing and dreamy to lie in all day! Melanie could not have been more nice and more accommodating. She even coordinated our ground transportation, excursions and local spots. Joel that lives on the property was our hero. He was always checking in with us, running for ice, moving stuff, he even climbed up and grabbed us fresh coconuts from the tree to drink and eat! He would call us out to the beach at night to help the baby turtles into the ocean which was a highlight for 3 nights of our trip! Our rooms and the house was cleaned daily by staff which were so nice. The kitchen was stocked for a cookers dream and we would definitely rent this house again for our next yoga retreat. The roof top was our yoga sessions and the view, breeze and sound of the ocean was seriously perfect. Staying at a rental house instead of a resort allows us to have more options for our guests. This house and staff were incredible! We would definitely book this house again.

Was fantastic very clean home.

The entire staff really friendly! The chef has great buffet style meal and cooks “anything you want”. They are also flexible with all the eating times to fit your needs. Price was really fair. They will bring receipts for everything they shopped for. We had 15 in our group everyone loved it. Would rent this property again!
