Far away from everything. Transportation was ridiculously pricey. Staff were amazing and very friendly. The water in my room cut off for an hour which was crazy. Bar closed way too early. Limited restaurants.

The staff we encountered were all awesome. Whether the front desk, the concierge, restaurants, or maintenance. Everyone was very friendly and professional. Check in was simple and quick. The concierge staff expertly setup some amazing experiences. The proximity to the marina for additional amenities is awesome as well. The only thing keeping the experience from being five stars is our room TV never worked the entire time we were there, not a huge issue, but we had maintenance try to repair the TV on three different days, and we finally gave up.

We had an amazing time at Margaritaville Playa Flamingo! The staff were absolutely excellent — warm, welcoming, and always eager to help with anything we needed. The food was fantastic, with a great variety of delicious options at every meal. The views were truly breathtaking, and the beach right in front of the resort was beautiful — soft sand, perfect for relaxing. One thing to note is that the tide and currents can be quite strong at times, and it changes drastically throughout the day, which can make the beach look very different depending on the hour. It’s fascinating to watch but something to be mindful of if you plan to swim or take long walks along the shore. Overall, it was a wonderful experience and a great place to unwind. I’d definitely recommend Margaritaville Playa Flamingo to anyone looking for a stunning getaway in Costa Rica!

Everything about the hotel was wonderful. The staff was excellent, very helpful and friendly. The swim-up bar was a hit with adults and kids. The entire facility was extremely clean. Access to the beach was so convenient. Definitely would recommend and return.

I enjoyed my short stay here. For all inclusive the food was good and lots of options for a smaller resort. It surprised me that at the pool no service was offered. Only when I went to the bar did I receive any service. Why no one served me around the pool area I have no idea.

Overall a good property, it is off season so most of the activities or special dining option canceled as not enough guest. The staff super friendly and very accommodating to my dad that has mobility issues. The beach is across the street from the property and you will need to rent chairs or bring your own when laying out or sitting at the beach Outside the resort very walkable area with some restaurant and shops. The rooms you could keep the temperature cool as I like a cold room for sleeping. The unlimited drinks and food were a good value again since off season the food choices after a few days were repetitive. The pool area is great with swim up bar.

Pros: Rooms were spacious and very clean. Drinks were good. The Italian restaurant was amazing!! And Randall was a great server. Elias at the License to Chill bar knows his stuff and is very sociable. The grounds were kept nice and pool was clean. Always a place to sit around the pool. Cons: did not have 3 pools as advertised. The beach is across the road. Food was decent but have had better. Needs more options. Some staff was very knowledgeable about things and some weren't. Overall decent Margaritaville. Not sure if we would go back.

I was quite disappointed with my stay at this Margaritaville. It felt the most outdated of any I’ve visited. The property is small, and the food, while decent, didn’t stand out. Additionally, there is only one restaurant on-site, which limits dining options. The rooms were also in need of a refresh, as they felt quite dated. Overall, I expected more from the Margaritaville brand.

Excellent staff - as soon as you arrive the staff make you feel special and appreciated - Antonio Manuel the porter welcomed us with a great smile and conversation; Carol at reception kindly gave us a room with a beautiful view of the ocean; Gabriella from housekeeping gave us everything we needed with warmth and kindness, Jose Manuel the activities manager was so attentive and generous with his time and advice, and even played pickleball with us; Jose Antonio from the groundskeeping service gave us coconuts he cut from the trees, Julio from security made extra effort to make us comfortable on the beach and around the pool; Tatiana and Douglas at the restaurant attended to our every request, and even surprised us with special treats; and Elias the pool bartender who was a great conversationalist and sang karaoke salsa songs like a professional. It was as if each one had the attitude "what more can I do to make you happy?" Scott the manager meets with each guest at breakfast to make sure they are happy. Food quality was exceptional - truly gourmet quality. The music performers at the upstairs restaurant were outstanding-especially the one on Monday night, 25 Oct. For a beach with no waves and pristine waters go to Playa Brasilito about 7 km away and then walk for about 15 minutes to Playa Conchal where the waters are pristinely clear, there are virtually no waves, and the beach is covered with seashells (hence the name conchal).

Flower with the concierge services, Nadezca and Luis Felipe at the pool bar were the shining stars for us. Nadezca remembered me and my family, always with a smile on her face, Luis very courteous as well, always helpful. Flower helped organize our airport transportation and also organized a surprise cake for our son on his 10th birthday

My husband and I had a wonderful time! The staff were amazing! Cesar, Manuel, Elias, Steicy, Juan Felipe! Gerald, who sells experiences/trips outside Margaritaville was amazing (right next to the beach). The hotel is literally steps from the beach. The pool and swim up bar was wonderful! The food was amazing and I was so very happy with the whole experience! Scott is an excellent Manager of the complex. I never saw an unhappy person! Pura Vida!
