Ein Rundum Sorglos Paket. Einmal dort und alles ist in der Nähe (Einkaufsmöglichkeit, Restaurants, Strand,…) und alles wird möglich gemacht. Vor allem die Surfstunden sind sehr zu empfehlen. Die Zimmer waren sauber und schön eingerichtet. Nur der Duschstrahl ist etwas hart (könnte v.a. bei einem Sonnenbrand unangenehm werden). Das Hotel liegt in einem privaten Arenal in einem Nationalpark. Es ist eine super Alternative zu Tamarindo, da es viel ruhiger & privater ist und trotzdem alle Möglichkeiten bietet.

Outstanding staff! Comfortable bed and good size bathroom. Liked the keyless entry system especially when going to the beach we didn’t worry about losing key. Beach only 2 min away. Pool area lovely gardens and shade if you wanted. Room fridge and air conditioner were added features.

We came to El Mangar from very busy Tamarindo and I wish we could have came here first! The property is pristine, the front desk at reception were kind,attentive and so helpful and you got a feel of you are welcome here, it has been amazing! The area is safe , secure and quiet , in the morning you can hear the waves from the beach :) room: small and cozy , this is the cleanest hotel we have stayed in after being in Costa Rica for a week, I am very particular about rooms, yes there may be some paint chipped but that is nothing, the rooms are clean! A/C works wonderful, actually had to raise the temp because we got too cold. Showers - hot water ! Parking : directly across from the hotel, on a quiet road ( which is more like a small lane ) , your vehicles are parked directly across and infront of the reception area in a small parking area. There is a parking pass that you have to display but this gives you peace of mind that your vehicle will be safe! There is a nice walkway to the beach, it’s about a 2 minute walk through a really neat forest setting, the trail is clean and flat, I do appreciate the beach being a 2 minute walk as you’re not surrounded by hotels and staring at a big resort right beside you , the beach is clean and not overall busy. The cafe next door has amazing food! I am so glad we came to stay here ! ❤️ we have had such an amazing time and I wish it wasn’t only for one day.

Nous avons réservé une chambre pour 3. nous arrivons dans une chambre où un humain ne peut pas dormir décemment : odeur horrible humide et une fenêtre minuscule !!! Je demande à changer de chambre, OK, on nous envoie dans une chambre avec un lit 2 places alors que nous sommes 3. Cherchez l'erreur. La 2eme nuit je leur dit que la situation est intenable, nous n'avons pas dormi de la nuit. On nous rajoute un lit de camp dans la chambre. Toujours aussi humide et exiguë je précise. C'était horrible. Niveau emplacement je précise que c'est à 40 min de Tamarindo, le bateau qui vous y enmène est à 20 min à pied par la plage, avec une chaleur brûlante autant dire que c'est impossible. Le restau a côté est hors de prix, bref, passez votre chemin, il y a mieux à Tamarindo, c'était notre pire expérience au Costa Rica, j'aurais aimé être remboursée !

Hotel El Manglar is maybe my most favorite hotel EVER! The grounds are beautiful!! The staff is so kind and helpful. Dylan and Georgia at the front desk were just incredible! The beach is stunning and the private path to the beach is magical! Our villa was comfortable and very clean. It had a king size bed, large shower, nice little kitchen and sitting area. Both the sitting area and kitchen had French doors that opened to the porch. We enjoyed our Costa Rican coffee and banana bread each morning on the porch. We had everything we needed! We loved the hammock on our private porch too! We surfed every day and I conveniently rented my surfboard from the hotel. We also enjoyed swimming in the lovely pool after a surf session. The owners of this hotel have created a paradise environment in Playa Grande. Dylan even arranged a tour of the estuary where we saw all kinds of wildlife including iguanas, crocodiles, the mangrove hawk and a family of Howler Monkeys. The food at the hotel's restaurant (a short walk from the hotel grounds) was delicious and fresh with great service (Luis). There is also another restaurant next door that serves great food and the homemade banana bread. I can't wait to go back!!! Hotel El Manglar is dreamy!!!

We truly enjoyed our stay in our Villa. It was quiet, beautifully landscaped with very friendly and helpful staff. We enjoyed the very close Cafe Mar Azul beach vibe restaurant. We enjoyed seeing and hearing monkeys nearby. It was a very short walk in a beautiful pathway to the stunning beach with amazing sunsets.

On voulait un hébergement près de la plage dans le coin de Tamarindo, on est content d'avoir résidé au El Manglar plutôt que dans la ville de Tamarindo. La plage est à 5 minutes et l'espace piscine est super bien aménagé pour se reposer. On a utilisé l'espace cuisine pour nos déjeuners et des repas simples. On a eu quelques difficultés d'accès au Wifi à partir des chambres, mais pour nous c'était un avantage car ça forçait nos ados à descendre dans l'espace commun.

Hotel El Manglar is amazing. Even though it was the cheapest place we stayed along the coast of the Nicoya Peninsula, the staff and the high standard of the hotel, made it one of the most boutique and chic. The staff was very attentive and friendly and gave lots of recommendations. The grounds were beautiful and the pool was nice with lots of areas outside to hang out. Our room although small was very comfortable, clean and stylish. This part of Playa Grande is a little off the beaten track but there were still a few good restaurants as well as a little store nearby. We ended up renting bikes and I definitely recommend this as a way to explore the area if you don't have a car. The hotel also had its own cafe and restaurant, yoga and a beach access as well as surf boards to rent. It was a very relaxing and beautiful stay.

Not safe for children. We were assigned a room that had a balcony with a big gaps between the balcony railings and was not safe for our 4 year old. We went for our anniversary and had made a request for special arrangement which was not accommadated. Also, any of our requests were not accommodated as we booked through a 3rd party, Expedia, perthe staff. Had webooked directly, they would have taken care of our requests. Property was great, but staff and our check in process and experience could have been much better
