"Pater Meus was amazing. Very clean, had all necessities. I would recommend grabbing a pack of water and food from nearby supermarket for late/early snacks as we play at the table this place is remote and not easy walk for conveniences when everything is closed. Beautiful grounds, loved the donkey and cats around the property. The views from the pool pad were great! "

"The property is perfectly located. Close to central town but just off the Main Street. The hosts were wonderful people. We really enjoyed our stay here."

"The accommodations was nice, and located within walking distance to Cefalu's main attractions. The management was quick to respond to any issues we had with regards to problems. My wife needed wifi service which they provided, but the quality of their wifi was bad. Their staff promised to fix it, but never followed through. We had wifi, but the bandwidth only allowed us to check out email. We needed to find a restaurant or other facilities to surf the web. "

"First thing to say is you'll probably need a car as it's about a 40 minute walk to Castelbuono - and coming back is quite steep walking. The upside of that is you are in a very tranquil location. It's idlyllic. Hardly a sound apart from birdsong and the occasional gentle charming clang of a cowbell as (presumably) some nearby cows were being led out to pasture I booked this place because its advert focused on tranquility - and it really lived up to that. "The interior of the villa is rustic with a very welcoming wood burning fireplace which was tended by the caretaker morning and night. There were two fully equipped kitchens, one inside and one outside. There were plenty of dishes and utensils for large group of people. "This property gave us and a fellow family lots of space to enjoy the Sicilian sun. The pool was great as was the view towards the surrounding hills and the sea. It was nice to experience a somewhat cooler climate than down the sea. On the downside, it took us half an hour to drive up and down the hill to get fresh bread in the morning. The property is somewhat run-down with the odd gadget not working. The owner tried to fix everything though. This is not a luxury property but I would recommend...

"The only negative aspect about this property is the fact that it's in the ZTL area. You can not drive there. You'll need to leave your car somewhere away and walk there. However, besides this, it's a lovely place to stay! It's in the heart of the historic center, near to dozens of restaurants, 4min walking to the Cathedral, 3min from the beach. Perfect place in Cefalu. "

"Pros: From the moment we arrived down an unmarked road, through the electric gates and up the dirt track driveway surrounded by oak trees, we knew this place was special. The one bedroom house was large enough for the two of us and our daughter who slept on the sofa bed, and full of rustic charm. "The property and its views were amazing. Transportation getting to the resort from the airport was expensive. Expedia organized our flight from Toronto to Sicily requiring a ferry to cross then organize a shuttle at the harbour to the resort. This would have added hours and substantial cost to get to the resort. We reorganized so we flew from Toronto to Rome then Rome to Palermo reserving a shuttle at our expense to get to the resort."
