Beauty, Tranquility, and Hospitality!
We arrived at Country Cottage after a five hour drive from southern Greece and were greeted by Stamatia and Ioannis who welcomed us like family.
Country Cottage II was the perfect place for our family of four. The property is so well maintained; green grass, flowers everywhere, and fragrant jasmine climbing the house. We had more than enough room to relax, cook, and eat as a family on the patio. Our favorite part of the day was recapping our adventures on the wrap around patio with spectacular views of green hills and far off mountains. Every night the breeze would pick up and it was everything I could have hoped for. The house is clean, comfortable, and has lots of decorative touches that makes it feel like home.
The location is ideal if you plan to explore multiple locations in the Halkidiki area. We could be down either the Sithonia or Kassandra peninsulas within an hour. This was a huge reason we rented this property so we could easily access a number of different towns and beaches. The house is also located within minutes of downtown Polygyros if you need a quick bite of food or grocery store.
Most impressive, however, were Stamatia and Ioannis. They went above and beyond to welcome us. Our kitchen was stocked with snacks and starter groceries. Everyday they brought us a sweet treat or fresh fruit. If we needed anything they were ready to help. They are the kind of people who host b/c they love to share their country. They are a highlight of our trip!
