The property is picturesque and the staff are very welcoming. We really enjoyed our stay. I would recommend having your own vehicle as the restaurants etc are not within easy walking distance.

Outstanding boutique bed and breakfast hotel, the staff were lovely, and the quality of the rooms was excellent. Pool area is excellent for a relaxing afternoon, the viewpoint is a short hike worth doing once, and the distance to downton Ponta Delgada was manageable. Would definitely stay here again!

amazing one night stay

an amazing last minute stay when our flight was cancelled, Fillipa was very helpful and accommodating , helping to call us taxis and navigate the city. the pool is lovely and refreshing and the morning breakfast buffet was delicious!

Lovely family operated property with a more authentic Portuguese experience than staying in a bigger hotel. All staff were so pleasant and went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable. Breakfast was excellent! Need a car to get around but well located to get off to all areas of the island. Highly recommend.

Les chambres modernes post 2020 sont reparties sur toute une colline, au calme, dans un parc et piscine chauffée. Petit dejeuner tres garni et varié chaque jour. Personnel tres attentionné. Éloigne de tout.

Our wedding anniversary trip

We chose azores for our 25 year wedding anniversary, the staff at Quinta da Abelheira was very helpful, helped us with car rental reservation and spa reservation. On our special day we were treated with champagne and a cake. can't wait to go back!

This is a lovely place to stay just outside the main town on Sao Miguel. We loved it. The staff was warm and welcoming, and couldn’t have done more to have made our stay thoroughly enjoyable. Moura is a gem. The breakfast is fantastic, and after a day of hiking, we enjoyed relaxing by the pool. Highly recommended!

Cannot say enough good things about this wonderful place. Room was gorgeous, setting and facilities are lovely, staff is super helpful. It’s just an A plus all around. Be aware that it isn’t right in town so you’re better off with a car or you can taxi — it’s not walkable.

We enjoyed our stay here. The hotel was clean and the staff were very welcoming. The breakfast was the best we had in Portugal but it lacked a variety of vegan options. The rooms were nice however felt damp. The shower seemed to leak which may have contributed to that. The sliding bathroom barn door was very noisy and not ideal when trying not to disturb others. The room could have used a luggage rack and microwave.

There was no receptionist on site to accommodate us. Called the number provided and nobody answered. Finally someone called back and said they would be there in a few.Never showed up , felt very unsafe, place was in the middle of nowhere,wife very nervous.Had to walk to nearby house was ask for assistance.
