Wundervolle Tage

Es war ein traumhafter Urlaub bei Eldibranda und John. Die beiden sind perfekte Gastgeber und haben einen wunderbaren Ort mit zwei Ferienhäuschen in ihrem großzügigen Garten geschaffen - ein ehemaliger Weinberg, in dem jetzt Orangenbäume blühen. Die Kommunikation auf Englisch klappte vor und während des Aufenthaltes ohne Probleme. Die Gastgeber hatten gerne Zeit, um über das Inselleben oder die besten Ausflugstipps zu plaudern. Durch die Anordnung der Gebäude gab es immer ausreichend Privatsphäre um entspannte Stunden in der Hängematte zu genießen. Die Ausstattung der Wohnung ließ für uns auch keine Wünsche offen. Wir waren mit einem Mietwagen unterwegs und die Lage der Wohnung auf der Insel war der perfekte Ausgangspunkt für unsere Aktivitäten. Wir haben die Zeit in der Quinta dos Sentidos sehr genossen und würden ohne zu zögern jederzeit wieder eines der Ferienhäuser mieten.

Attention : le descriptif de la maison est faux

Quant on a loué cette maison elle était annoncée pour 4 personnes. Quand on est arrivé on a constaté qu'elle était faite pour 2 personnes + 1 adulte ou deux petits enfants de moins de 10 ans. D'ailleurs l'annonce a changé, ils l'indiquent pour trois maintenant. Et sur un autre site de réservation le logement est bien indiqué pour 2 personnes En effet dans la "chambre" il n'y a pas 2 lits comme annoncé mais un seul lit double. Et aucune place pour en rajouter. Dans le salon (dans la même pièce que la cuisine) il existe un canapé convertible de 1,10m et pas un second lit. Quand vous ouvrez le canapé vous n'avez plus de place dans l'espace salon ; Ce n'est pas très vivable. De plus il n'y a pas de machine à laver ni de sèche linge ni de planche à repasser. En fait vous pouvez donner votre linge à laver à la propriétaire contre 10 € (d'ailleurs sur un autre site de réservation cela est bien mentionné comme payant !). Il n'y a pas de ménage. Il n'y a pas d'imprimante dans la maison comme annoncé, ni de mixeur, Il n'y a pas d'armoire mais trois étagères dans la chambre. On ne voit pas la mer depuis la maison. Normal puisqu'elle est située en bas de la maison des propriétaires qui est sur le même terrain environ 10 mètres plus (descente très raide pour aller du parking à la maison). Par contre on la voit dès qu'on est en haut chez les propriétaires. Le fait d'être ainsi dans un creux fait qu'on a aucune vue sauf sur le jardin qui est cependant, très agréable. Et c'est donc un peut étouffant quand il faut chaud parce qu'impossibilité de faire des courants-d'air. Parce qu'on a indiqué en arrivant que le descriptif était faux, ils nous en ont voulu, et donc on a eu aucune relation avec eux. Ce ne sont donc pas des personnes accueillantes. Quand on a demandé aux propriétaires d'arriver plus tôt que prévu (à cause de l'avion) on a nous a répondu sèchement que c'était impossible. Alors que partout ailleurs on nous a dit soit oui soit on a pu laisser les valises. Vous partagerez la terrasse avec vos voisins qui occupent le logements juste à côté et qui sont à une vingtaine de mètres. Pour nous cela s'est bien passé, ils étaient très calmes. Par contre la maison est très calme, idéale pour se reposer. Donc du fait de ce descriptif faux et enjolivé on a été très déçu de notre séjour. D'où la note médiocre donnée.

Perfect location to get to know SaoMiguel

Beautiful location amid lovely gardens and fruit trees. Had fresh eggs from their chickens and bananas from their trees. Our cottage was comfortable and private. Eldibranda snd John could not have been better hosts, right from the beginning. Helpful in so many ways. You won’t be disappointed! Perfect!

An amazing stay

Amazing place to stay tucked away amidst a beautiful organic garden. My wife and I were celebrating our 1 year anniversary and we could not have asked for a more perfect place. The hosts are kind, attentive, and go above and beyond to make you feel welcomed. Would recommend this place to anyone.

We LOVED This Property

We truly loved staying at this lovely orchard / farmhouse property! It was so relaxing to be there & Eldi & John we’re so good to us. We found our apartment to be very clean & everything was in very good condition. We enjoyed the wine theme & history of how the 2 apartments came about. All the decor was in prime condition. We felt extremely secure in this gated property & we liked the nearby grocery store where we could walk to. Anyone who enjoys nature will love this property. Eldi & John were very generous with their fruits grown on the land along with garden vegetables. We were so appreciative of getting answers to our questions from both Eldi & John. It was so nice to be given a map & ideas where to visit on the island & along with the business cards or recommended restaurants to try. Perfect in every way!

Eldibranda and João are naturally warm-hearted who made us feel immediately at ease We had a lovely week, sleeping in a comfy bed, having relaxing showers and the open plan kitchen/living room had everything we could possibly need overlooking a lovely kitchen garden (tasty veggies, herbs and fruits!!!) The location of Quinta dos Sentidos is just perfect and the tips from Joao and Eldibranda made our stay far more enjoyable! We couldn't recommend this place highly enough. Five stars from us:- Based on location, the home itself and the friendly&caring&cozy hosts, we would choose to stay in this home again and again at any chance to visit Sao MigueI Absolute heaven! Ideal location for those who appreciate a connection with the beauty of the earth

As an organic farmer from the Northeast of the USA, I was thrilled by several features: the genuine hospitality of fine, hardworking folks with a strong aesthetic sense, the well-developed, self-sufficient land use--small citrus grove, bountiful vegetables and edible flowers, chickens, the well-appointed two units furnished and decorated with class and imagination.There's a lively warm and generous spirit here!

Wonderful place and hosts

Small house with everything you need. Garden is great - fresh oranges, lemons, guavas, cherimoyas etc. Eldibranda and her husband are very friendly and attentive. Looking forward to coming back.
