"Staff were very friendly! Entertainment and food were fabulous. Pool spotless, great to see the manager being there on the complex walking around observing. The bar staff and waiters/waitresses were charming and nothing too much for them. With the facilities, we were disappointed on first day to have no aircon in our room, heard others had same problem with this. We were moved to different room same day but it meant we lost time unpacking and packing again. Overall the stay was so lovely and we would recommend this hotel. We certainly will be returning."

"By far our favourite hotel on this trip. We stayed for a week and did not want to leave. Excellent amenities including jacuzzi, sauna, gym, and pool, all at no extra charge. Several dining room options (albeit expensive). Front desk staff were very knowledgeable and helpful (shoutout to Daniel who was very kind to us!). The breakfast selection was excellent. The grounds are expansive and very beautiful. Excellent view over Funchal. Room was cleaned rigorously every day (including vacuuming!) and quiet overnight. It was perfect for our honeymoon, and we would absolutely stay here again. As only one potential point of suggestion for a 5-star hotel, we would have appreciated a 24/7 tea bar at no extra charge."

"Reid’s is a beautiful property with multiple pools and diving access to the ocean. Our stay involved changing rooms ( not the hotels fault), and not all rooms are the same. The first room had a walk in shower but the second room had a very slippery tub shower. There was construction going on during our stay that made for noisy afternoons. The food was really good and there are multiple restaurants, however, I would reserve a table in advance of your stay to guarantee your spot at dinner. The service was exceptional."

"Really good hotel. Great value for money. The hotel is a lot quieter than the hotel next door and you're able to use the facilities at the other hotel, win win! We told the reception that it was my dad's 60th birthday and they made it extra special for him! Thank you so much to all the hotel staff, they were all great.
