Overall a nice villa
Positives - The villa is very nice, the decor and furnishings are lovely and the view is stunning. All the bedrooms are a really good size, large comfortable lounge and the kitchen is well equipped. 'The Den' is fantastic if you have children staying, we had many hours of fun playing table tennis. The outside balconies run around the property on the coastal side and provide great spaces for enjoying the sun, or just getting away to read.Tips - access down the very steep driveway could be daunting for some. You can park at the top of the drive and walk down the side steps. I found it easier to reverse down the drive as turning space by the garage is tight.Having a car is a must for this property, the walk down to Ponta do Sol is possible but its steep and there are few pathways.Negatives - we arrived on a Thursday and found the indoor pool was freezing (unusable). Friday morning we were informed that the day prior to arrival a new pool heating pump was installed (fine with that things break) and the pool would not be useable for 48 hours (we should have been informed, as this work was obviously planned). The technician did not return until Tuesday to turn the new pump on (lost 6 days use of the pool, and yes I did chase everyday for an update). When it was turned on I was then informed there is a 40 euro per day charge, this should have been stated in the booking information. Overall great villa but the lose of the pool for most of our stay and the hidden charge is poor.
