“Set in beautiful grounds with friendly and welcoming staff. Great breakfast and facilities. Room was well appointed but was a bit dark and dated. The window’s double glazing had blown. ”

Only bad experience was the loss of water services, our room being the only one that did not come back on line requiring us to move rooms.”

“Cosmetically inside and out it needs a bit of TLC, but I was met with a lovely welcome, my room was clean, bed really comfy and the breakfast superb. If you can see past the look of the place then it’s a great budget hotel. ”

“We regularly eat at The Bear, as we love the food, but this was our first time to stay. The room was beautifully decorated, spotlessly clean and the bed was very comfortable. As always, the service in the restaurant was excellent and the food was delicious. Our waiter, Hi-Man was most attentive. ”

Breakfast is continental, but there is a nice variety of cereals and toast and other items. The internet was quite good, by British standards.”

“The Celyn is located in an outstanding rural position. From the moment you arrive Sarah and Paul were very welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. Our room was good sized, clean with outstanding views over the farm. The sheep and lambs were in the field in front and it was nice to see them. The bed was very comfortable and we slept really well. The cooked breakfast was very high quality and very tasty and worthy of the reviews I had previously read. Overall the Celyn is a credit to Sarah and……
