“Nice place and perfect location”

“We stayed one night en route to Kingston Lacy. We were very impressed by the comfortable room and the welcoming staff. All the details were just right. The breakfast was also very nice.”

“The room is tidy and comfortable. It is a bit small but adequate for 4 adults. It would be perfect if the Wifi signal is stronger in the room.”

“I arrived late at 9.30 pm. It was too late to find alternative accommodation. My room had not been hoovered for some time. The tables beside the bed were thick with dust. The welcoming card with information was stuck on the desk with grime. The table had crumbs on it. All the furniture had a layer of dust. The bathroom was the worse. Although the toilet looked clean there was dirt dust, paper and hair around it. The bath was also unclean. I found it hard to sleep. The bedding was clean but……

“Room was spacious, great shower. However the room we were in (an upgraded room) was over the kitchen and every morning at 7am something started up and all we could hear was the hum of it which is annoying when you would like a lie in. We ate both nights in the pub. The food is good but very pricey. On our 2nd night we both had a special which was gammon, 1egg, chips, pinapple and piccalily. I pointed out that it said two eggs but we only got one each. The waiter was apologetic but just said it……

“This is the second time I have stayed due to the convenient location for work. I’ve had the warmest arrival on both occasions. The room was lovely. The bed extremely comfy. And the little touches such as fresh milk and brownies are a bonus treat. Exceptional.”

“Great, cosy inn with plenty of space to eat. Family room had a good layout with some nice touches such as fresh milk for the tea and coffee. Staff very helpful and plenty of parking”

“I have just stayed at The Fighting Cocks for the weekend. Unfortunately we choose the weekend of the A31 closure and the New Forest fires! Resulting in a lot of traffic passing the pub. Not their fault. The staff were very helpful and friendly the room was great, clean and comfortable and breakfast was included and really tasty. We had an evening meal on the Saturday which was ample and reasonably priced. All in all a great little stop over.”
