Photo et hygiène trompeuse attention

Bonjour,Je fais suite à notre séjour le week-end dernier dans la maison que j’ai louée pour 15 personnes. Je souhaite vous faire part de notre profonde déception quant à l’état général du logement, qui ne correspond absolument pas à ce qui était annoncé et attendu pour une location de ce type.Dès notre arrivée, nous avons constaté un manque évident d’hygiène et d’entretien :•Les draps étaient pleins de cheveux, les serviettes de bain tachées ou douteusement propres.•La moisissure est présente dans les douches, les siphons et le porte-couverts.•Les encadrements de porte et autres surfaces étaient sales, et la propreté globale du logement est très insuffisante.•Nous avons même trouvé des couverts sales et un porte-couverts moisi, ce qui nous laisse douter de l’efficacité, voire de la réalité du ménage annoncé.•Le trampoline est dangereux et inutilisable, il est trompeur de le laisser figurer dans l’annonce.•L’extérieur est mal entretenu, avec plusieurs éléments dangereux pour les enfants comme pour les adultes.•L’installation électrique pose problème : l’électricité saute régulièrement dans la cuisine.De plus, nous avions convenu avec la femme de ménage d’une arrivée anticipée pour déposer nos affaires, mais elle avait manifestement oublié. Par ailleurs, il semble que sa famille dorme sur place, ce qui compromet la préparation correcte de la maison avant l’arrivée des locataires. Post-scriptum, les photos sont uniquement de ma chambre.

Formidable

Le logement est très bien situé, le parking privé. L'accueil formidable. Le logement fabuleux, propre, et vraiment très grand. Chaque chambre a sa salle de bain et WC, vraiment génial. L'immense salle à manger, lumineuse et très bien agencé, la cuisine au top, très pratique. Nous avons adoré séjourner dans cette magnifique maison. Nous reviendrons, une vrai pépite.

Parfait pour un séjour en famille

La maison est idéalement située, à proximité des commerces et des restaurants du port à pied, et à quelques kilomètres des plages du débarquement. Nous avons apprécié la grande salle à manger, le grand salon et et les 3 zones nuits avec leur salle de bain attitrée, qui permet à chacun d’avoir son intimité en fin de journée. Un plus pour les enfants, le coin jeux et surtout le trampoline au jardin ! L’accueil et les informations de Valérie ont été très appréciées.

Normandy adventure

A group of 11 of our family enjoyed the beauty of the area from this super central location! Plenty of private space and bathrooms to accommodate and the kitchen dining and sitting areas were great for all of us to hang out after the day’s activities! Enjoyed the d day sites but also the quaint villages and seaside towns including port en bessin. Make sure to also go to Bayeux to visit a really amazing city and maybe catch the farmers market! Truly loved our stay

9 days in Port en Bassin Huppain

The property pictures online were taken many years ago and don’t reflect the house as it is today. it was very tired and in need of a total deep clean, the place was filthy. Furniture, curtains, towels, bedding all need replacing. Mould on some walls, dirty lights, cobwebs everywhere, the place is in a general state of disrepair.The garden, trees, hedges and bushes are totally overgrown making difficult to park and blocking light into the house It could be a lovely place to stay but as a family of 14 we were extremely disappointed in the very poor standard of the accommodation and would certainly not recommend it to anyone

Perfect Family Retreat for our Normandy Trip

This house and quant town were perfect for us. The house was clean with plenty of space, Damien and Valery made the check in and checkout process easy which was much appreciated. We spent most evenings enjoying the many cafès, restaurants and shops around the Marina, which is just a short walk from the house! We would highly recommend this place!

Cycling Trip

A perfect house for large groups of friends or families. A well equipped kitchen, excellent bedrooms and bathrooms. The lockable utility/laundry room was perfect for our bikes,including power points to charge the batteries for the e-bikes.

Spacious house for large group

Our family (3 generations) celebrated Christmas here - there was even a Christmas tree up in the living room! The kitchen was well equipped for making Christmas dinner and there were plenty of dishes for our group of 11. The teenagers enjoyed playing the piano and pool. The host met us upon arrival and took the time to show us around every room and answer any questions. The place was clean and had a much needed washer and dryer, as we had not gotten our luggage yet. Conveniently close to a grocery store, a Catholic church, and restaurants near the water.

Large home and property but needs some attention

The house is large and worked great for the 8 people we had in our group. We never felt like we were on top of each other and the big dining table was wonderful for meals. We had 3 cars which were easily parked on the property. The location is fantastic! A 10 min walk to the port and the Sunday market was wonderful. Super easy to get to Bayeaux and all the Normandy locations. Pictures are so important when renting a VRBO and I believe the photos in the listing were taken many, many years ago. They didn't reflect the actual condition of the house and furnishings. The couches in the living room and TV room were covered with throw blankets, buttons were missing from pillows and the magazines on the bookcase were 20+ years old. The wooden table and chairs in the garden weren't brown wood anymore - everything was weathered, gray, splintery and in need of sanding and refinishing. The lack of attention was also reflected in the coffee pot that took an hour to brew, the hairdryer that gave off sparks when you plugged it in, the wobbly legs on the bedside tables and the broken chairs. Even the liquid hand soap was so watered down that it wasn't even soap anymore. The whole house could use a thorough, deep cleaning. If you're a family with kids, this would be a great place. For a group of adults, it was OK but not up to normal VRBO standards.

Family holiday to view D-Day beaches

We had a wonderful time in Port-en-Bessin. We would recommend this town and this house for any holiday with a large family. The house was perfect for our 3 generational family. We got to see where my father in law landed on D-Day.

Wonderful home

This was a perfect place for our 2 wk. family getaway. It is in the heart of the Normandy region and very close to D-Day beaches and other interesting and important historical sites. The house was well equipped and very comfortable. It is spacious and the yard/gardens are lovely. The owner was accommodating and quick to communicate with us. Port-en-Bessin-Huppain is a great little town to explore. The house is in walking distance to everything in town.

Lovely, spacious property

We enjoyed a wonderful stay in Port-en-Bessin. The property and facilities were excellent for all ages (1-60!) with plenty for everyone to do. The kids all enjoyed the trampoline in the garden and the adults enjoyed the pool table and large spaces for relaxation. Communication with owner easy. The only minus was that the wifi was not working throughout our stay.

Jour de l'an entre amis

Gîte très agréable et bien équipé. Les lits sont confortables et les salles d'eau attenantes à chacune d'entre elles furent très appréciées.
