The home is located on a deep water canal system with direct access to the Gulf of Mexico. A private dock and ample driveway space allows guests the option to bring a boat or rent one from the marinas located within the canal system. A public boat launch is less than a mile away. There are also several charter boats in the area that offer fishing, diving and snorkeling experiences. Only 2 miles to Hudson Beach, less than 5 miles to SunWest Park & Lift Adventure Park, and 10 miles to Robert K Rees Memorial Park beach. Adult and youth size life jackets, beach towels, chairs, beach cart, large rolling Coleman cooler, beach/pool toys, and fishing rods are available for guests to use. The rental also includes four sea kayaks to explore the wildlife and keys of the Gulf, a quick paddle from the home.

Guests can expect to see plenty of wildlife, including manatees and dolphins that regularly enter the canal. There are several shopping options nearby and many supermarkets in close proximity of the home to keep you stocked, including a Walmart Super Center, ALDI, Save A Lot, Winn Dixie, Publix, and ABC Fine Wines & Liquor. There are also several antique stores in the area to shop for unique finds.

Crystal River is a pristine, spring-fed river system that stays at approximately 72 degrees year round. Similarly, Homosassa’s multiple springs are crystal clear and serve as a warm water shelter for manatees from October through April. Visitors can dive for bay scallops during the open summer season when scallops migrate to the area to spawn. Each person can harvest up to 5 gallons of scallops per day. Visit Sister Springs where swimmers can pass through short underwater tunnels carved in limestone by the force of the springs, or float down stream in tubes in a natural lazy river in a beautiful, scenic setting.
