Everything you need

This home was clean and had everything you need to enjoy a beach vacation. It is convenient to the beach (very short walk) and situated in between the two pools. We enjoyed our stay!

Great house

Clean, comfortable, and convenient!!! The house was great with all the necessary things you need to cook and be comfortable. Easy walk to the beach and pool. Literally right outside the state park which was nice for paddle boarding, snorkeling, and kayaking.

Barrier Dunes is a great community. We enjoyed the easy beach access and the 2 pools. The unit needs new furniture indoors in the living room and new patio furniture to make it more enjoyable.

We loved Shell Song! We decided to take a last minute trip to the Cape and are so happy we booked this home. The home was incredibly clean, and the complex was so quiet. The proximity to the beach access was a short walk, and the pools were an added bonus. The beach did get a little crowded, but that’s to be expected as summer draws to a close. We have shared this unit and the Barrier Dunes complex with our family and friends, and will most definitely be returning!

Great location, very clean, service request was ignored

The location is central to both pools and the beach. The condo was clean and the beds comfortable. However one TV in the bedroom where my kids slept had no signal and was not a smart TV so it was useless. I contacted vacasa and nothing was done to fix it.

Good location, needs work

The positives: This location is very close to the beach accesses and the main pool/pool house. It is well equipped with cooking utensils, pots, and pans. Starter amenities were provided for toilet paper, dish detergent, dish washer detergent. If you have a large group, be prepared to go pick up toilet paper, paper towels, and additional dish washing soap. You will need to pick up laundry detergent. The property is quiet and the neighborhood is lovely. There were beach chairs and a wagon in a storage shed under the house but we did not discover this until we had been there a few days. Wonderful water pressure for showers. Shampoo, conditioner, and body soap along with hand soaps were available. There is 1 hair dryer which didn't matter to us a couple but may matter to a larger group. The Kitchen, Living room, 1/2 bath are located on the second floor and the Bedrooms are located on the 3rd floor. The cons: No hot tub/spa tub in the home, no hot tub/spa tub available at the property. It does have regular, non-jetted bathtubs. Patio furniture in very poor condition; unable to use. Unable to sit on the balcony and enjoy the scenery. The living room sliding glass door does not lock. The router/wifi name and password were not correct. No Map of property amenities; no local guide book. The gate code changed without notice during the booking. The sheets are pilling in the King bedroom; did not use the 2nd room or pull out couch. The instructions ask to start laundry prior to leaving but there is no laundry detergent. We did notify Vacasa via text of the Wifi issue as soon as we attempted to use it and they were able to update us with the correct login info the next day. We notified Vacasa via text of the poor condition of the patio furniture and the broken lock on the sliding glass door but these issues were never addressed while we were at the property. We had to notify Vacasa again when the gate code randomly changed in the middle of our stay and they were able to quickly update this for us.
