“I was attending a course in the leisure centre next door. The Aqua was an excellent, relaxed place to stay. The staff/owners were polite, friendly and generated a relaxed atmosphere. The small, well stocked bar carried on this relaxing, informal atmosphere. (The squeaky bar stools could do with fixing but were still amusing) The food is top notch and very affordable. “Steve is welcoming and runs a beautiful hotel. My room overlooked the sea,and was very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was lovely , fresh fruits, compôte , yoghurts, warm bread and croissants. Lovely coffee. All in all I would recommend Chapter 1 as a very civilised resting place. ”

“Nice size property. Missing the more luxury/comfort items. Garden furniture ok not as images. Has a comfy dining table. Balcony furniture present but not suitable for the area. High stools and table not appropriate needs more relaxing items to make area useful otherwise it was good for drying clothes. Area is central and easy for amenities, cafes, beach, shops etc all easy to walk to. Noisy as near heliport and some days this is busy from early morning till after 10 at night. Not overly……

“It is very very close to the railway station. The room is small but very clean and tidy. There is no lift and you will need to take your luggage upstairs. It is also close to the beach. A very nice and enjoyable stay.”

“What a find! Needed a hotel asap as our camper needed extended time at Grarage so couldn’t go to our booked campsite. Booked at 4 Friday and arrived at 7:30pm and this was half term! Wasn’t expecting much but our spacious room was incredible, double fronted window directly over looking beach, incredible sunrise each morning over water. Used Tesco club points so only cost a few pounds. Reasonable rates anyway. Friendly staff. Decor is not tasteful but that didn’t bother us, pleasant and clean……
