Great location. Super spiffy clean hotel with very helpful staff. Rooms are small but that’s pretty much the deal in all those old buildings in the Ribeiro. Book a room with a riverview. Very nice.

Great location for exploring Porta by foot. Location on the river was especially nice. Very clean and bright rooms. Make sure you book room with direct view of river front. Staff were great and provided lots of info about the local area. Took wine day trip to Duoro Valley which was really beautiful and great wine and port.

GH is in an excellent location near the river in Porto. Two things really stand out for us. First, the staff is super friendly and helpful. Alejandro checked us in and provided excellent information about the hotel and what to see and do in Porto. The night staff was equally friendly and helpful. And, the young women who serve the breakfast are very sweet and helpful. The breakfast is the second stand out. Do not pass up the breakfast that is served. Without a doubt it is the best we’ve had anywhere throughout our European travels. Thank you Guest House Douro!

I really loved this place. The location was great right next to the Duoro River promenade. The reception people were very friendly and extremely helpful. The room was clean and had everything we needed. Despite all the noise on the promenade, it was very quiet because they had good windows and they had an excellent air-conditioning. The breakfast was spectacular with lots of fresh fruit, yogurt, cheese, meat, coffee, and fresh juice. Can’t recommend this place enough.
