Fantastic location, the property had everything we needed, and was clean and tidy. The staircase in the building as others have mentioned does have a distinct ‘lived in’ smell, but I would absolutely not let this put you off booking this property, as it is literally only the main staircase that is affected.

The property was clean, well-equipped, and in a good location. We wished the laundry situation had been explained in advance, as it required walking down 4 flights of stairs to a shared building laundry space, because of that, we chose not to use it. Overall, though, the space itself was comfortable.

Unbeatable Location

Just one street down to the popular port area and a short uphill walk to major sites. The area offers easy access to cafes and shopping and provides a real taste of city life. I was traveling solo and had plenty of space but, even so, the space is very efficiently designed and updated for comfort.

Short stay in Porto

We loved this place- it was just perfect for our family. The accommodations were great, however with the location of this flat, who would spend time indoors? It’s located right in the heart of Porto, with so much to see and do just outside the door. It was wonderful.

Great Location

The apartment is in a great location for seeing the sights in Porto. It is well equipped with what you need, and it is amazing how such a small space in an old building has been transformed into such an efficient flat. It is probably best for two people as the second bedroom is up a tiny twisty staircase attesting again to the efficient use of small spaces.

Start for El Camino

Lovely place to stay near the Porto Cathedral to start El Camino! Excellent location. Second bedroom is up steep stairs so important for anyone who may have issues climbing. Excellent communication from our host Katherine. Very clean and beds comfortable.

Conveniently Located Apartment

The apartment was clean, compact, and conveniently located. Communication and check in went smoothly. The apartment is on the top floor so there are lots of stairs to navigate and a somewhat dark entrance. The second bedroom is up a narrow, steep staircase that would be difficult to navigate for people with any mobility challenges. Getting luggage up to the room was a two person endeavour.

Cute and Cozy Cave in great location

We had a wonderful time in this charming apartment. Located right in middle of city, walking to everything. It is a tight squeeze. We had family of four- two adult children. The four flight walk up is not for the out of shape- nor is the cave alcove up the stairs. But if you can brave stairs and not a lot of extra room, this place is incredible. So many thoughtful touches. Great welcome guide is 4-5 languages for local recs. Basic kitchen supplies and a coffee supply as well as directions on how to use everything. We loved staying here!

The space was very roomy. apartment well appointed and clean and comfortable. Kitchen has everything you need. Stairs were a challenge with the luggage but otherwise easy. Perfect location near everything. The stairs to upstairs room are difficult to manage if you had mobility issues and not for young children as they are steep and narrow. Bathroom very clean with roomy shower. Would definitely come back

We really enjoyed the unit; however, the stair situation was not explained well on the app. The ‘main bedroom’ is totally awesome but it’s pretty much up a ladder (please consider this if you have a hard time with stairs). The kitchen is a bit awkward for one person to cook in, but there are so many awesome venues nearby. If you’re adventurous, fit/healthy persons, it’s a very lovely place to settle into.

Excellent location, modern feel

My family of 5 stayed at this great Porto apt. The location is great as it is close to the water, lots of restaurants and shops. We walked or ubered/bolted everywhere. Note that the street is narrow and your driver will probably drop you off a few feet away. The apt was clean and spacious, the beds and linens were super comfortable. Communication with Kateryna (the host) was quick and courteous. Do note that the 2nd bedroom is located on a 2nd floor with very narrow steps, that are a bit difficult to manage, we stayed 2 nights and were able to make it work, but it may be difficult for others. Location is safe and we were very happy with our stay.

Location, location, location!

My friend and I both loved our stay in this adorable apartment in Porto. The location couldn’t be beat-a few blocks downhill brought you right to the river or uphill to the heart of the city. And while the apartment is on a popular little street with restaurants, we were pleasantly surprised how quiet the apartment was (being on the fourth floor helped with this). We did have the power go out as we were blow-drying hair while running the air conditioner so note to not use two high powered appliances at the same time :) It took a while to figure out how to turn the lights back on but the host was very responsive and helped us figure it out. Highly recommended and would stay again!

Location, Location, Location

This property is a Home Run! My friend and I did a 1 1/2 weeks long trip to Portugal with Porto #1 on our list. It's hard when you dont know the area to book a place that keeps you in the center and walking distance to everything. This cute little 4th floor walk up gives you all of it. 1. Its a really cute little place, Well appointed and cozy.2. Central to walking around lower portion of Porto and the bridge to Gaia.3. Easy and close access to shopping and restaurants4. Safe area, secure access, and the check in was easy!It is a 4th floor walk up so expect stairs - lots of them, but it gets you ready for walking the streets of Porto!The upstairs loft access is tight with little stairs. I would not recommend putting kiddos up there or larger adults. I highly recommend this property.

The location could not be beat. It was literally just as we came into Porto and the parking garage we stayed in was not much beyond that. The upstairs bedroom was tough to get to but we knew that going in. I would hesitate to let anyone with diminished agility stay in that bedroom although it is very comfortable and slept well. Also, beware that the water will produce very hot water and could very well burn you. (I made a cup of tea from the tap for my sister-in-law) Overall, it is beautifully decorated, modern and clean and we would definitely stay again! knew that going in

Sweet apartment in the heart of Porto

My husband and I loved our stay in this lovely apartment. The pictures are accurate. It is clean and roomy for a city apartment - especially considering where it is located. We loved the location! Close to the water but also on a side alley so it was quiet. Really you can walk to a lot which was amazing for us. Others mentioned the stairs and they are correct that if you are not in shape or elderly it’s not the right place for you. If you can climb stairs and your luggage doesn’t weigh a ton - you’ll be fine! It didn’t bother my husband and I at all. Also, the host was wonderful and quick to respond to any questions we had. Highly recommend!

Great location but

The location was good. Lots of good restaurants around. Located on a pedestrian street which made it difficult to find and get to first time. We finally drove up pedestrian street to unload car. Probably shouldn’t have done that. Unit is on 4th floor. 54 steps. Elderly person a challenge. Then when in unit second bedroom with king bed up a very tight twisting stair that is extremely difficult to navigate. More like a ladder. Has child fence/gate at bottom of stairs to keep young children from trying to climb. No way my wife could get upstairs with her bad back. Liked location. Unit was nice except for these challenges. Also no long term parking close by.

Great location!

This place is in an amazing location to walk to lots of things, including the riverfront and tons of restaurants! We couldn't have asked for a better location. The unit was well kept, updated, had everything we'd need, and the owners were responsive and kind. They left us a bottle of port to try, which was a thoughtful surprise. The things I wish we were aware of ahead of time were: 1. Within the unit, the stairs going up to the second bedroom are *not* safe for little kids or older adults, or someone who needs to get up to use the bathroom in the middle of the night. They are steep, very narrow, and wind around - it's almost more like climbing a ladder in parts. We weren't expecting this and had to change our sleeping arrangements because of it. 2. The washer/dryer are on the bottom level of the building, not in the unit itself. They are specific to the unit (not shared), which was good, but just something to know if you plan on doing laundry.
