“Lovely hotel with a lot of history which was displayed around various walls at reception, If you don’t mind walking up various sets of stairs to get to your room (we were on level 1) you’ll be fine. There weren’t a lot of stairs but it was “walk up a couple then down a corridor, through a door and few more steps, another corridor and other door”. The floors creaked also but it was an old building so can’t complain. Free on site parking but be aware, pigeons live in the roof of the parking area……

“The property is old beams, four poster beds, sloping floors, beautiful property nice restaurant local to shops pubs and staff young and very helpful and polite nothing too much trouble, our room had a king size 4 poster bed high but very comfortable good shower too, definitely be going back again food was very good also and when you stay you get 10% off food and drink”

“We had an accessible room, just there right thing. Very clean, proper wet room shower. Breakfast was really good with good range of hot and cold items.”

“Lovely hotel and very helpful staff. Excellent food. Disappointed with the spa facilities, certainly not luxury. Massage rooms were in a hut next to the swimming pool. You had to walk behind the reception desk and through the swimming pool to get there. There was no relaxation room. Enjoyed the massage but for the price I had hoped for some luxury and somewhere to lie down and chill afterwards. Also you have to go through the tiny gym to get to the hot tub and if someone is using the treadmill……

“Myself, 4 girlfriends and 2 dogs very much enjoyed our stay at quirky hedgehog view. The outlook from the property onto the Welsh hills was gorgeous, and the hot tub was lovely. There are curious goats on the surrounding fields that visited us. The baby goats were very sweet! Thank you to Gemma for hosting us at Hedgehog view. She was on hand with a contact number for an emergency vet, when on of our dogs had eaten something he shouldn't have!”

“The first room was up 4 flights of stairs which was difficult having COPD the central heating was permanently on and couldn't turn it off, it made a racket all night stopped us sleeping, they eventually moved us to a bungalow which was much better but the hot water was boiling hot and could be very dangerous for children . There was NO restaurant or bar which was advertised . it was self catering but no shop to buy food and the internet on for 4 days Not impressed and would not recommend”

“The view is absolutely beautiful. The overall hygiene was ok, with a small bit of stain on the sheet remaining. However, there was one used instant coffee packaging left, probably due to carelessness of cleaning staff. The worst issue was that the shower was completely not working but the hotel gave us this room knowing that there was a electrical failure for the shower. Although the staff was really polite when we raised this issue in the morning, it does not erase the disappointment at night.……

“We had a great stay. One of the best value hotels we’ve ever stayed in. Yes it could do with some TLC but for the price we paid, more than happy. Great breakfast and the spa was super.”

“We stayed in a twin room .beds comfortable but room very narrow. No mirror to do hair.toilet roll holder broken. Friendly staff in restaurant, lovely food. Not much disabled parking which made things difficult. Lovely treatments in spa.”

“Lovely touch to have beach towels in foyer for dogs & sandy toes. Good variety of food for breakfast, different teas, dog treats & different cereal in hall. Such a comfortable bed & spacious bathroom. Staff very accomdating. Highly recommend a stay there”

“We had an early start / check out so we were due to miss breakfast. We were offered a breakfast-to-go prior to our check in and this was remembered without prompting and handed to us at check-in. Uts nice when this happen as promised.”

“We had a late check in (out of staffed hours) and it could not have been easier. We made contact to make sure it was ok, on arrival we got access and our room key with no fuss. Located the room and it was all very fresh feeling and lovely. It being one of the hottest nights of the year and there no built in aircon (welcome to England), but the fan kept us cool and the whole set up was really good. Check out was very simple too.”
