Perfect location and view

The host was so accommodating, welcoming and helpful getting us to this picturesque villa overlooking the sea, flowers and gorgeous landscape. Every comfort was thought of, the house was beautifully decorated and the host even arranged our transfers expertly. This home is convenient to so many restaurants, the beach and markets.

Want a charming Amalfi coast apartment.

Perfectly sized for a couple or a family of four. Giovanna has thought of every detail and the location is situated in the heart of the Amalfi coast. First consideration is the number of steps. You have two options 1) from the main road, 103 steps (one or two are uneven so use the hand rail) 2) 12 steps that lead to a sloping path that then leads to a lightly traveled road down to the main road. Both options lead you a SITA Sud bus stop (not the same one). The first option leads you by a tobacco shop when you can purchase bus tickets. Second consideration is a grocery store. Up 103 steps (or you can take the path and backtrack up the road in the opposite direction for the bus stop) is well stocked with all the basics and then some…eggs, bread, pasta, fruit, and even freshly sliced deli meats. Third consideration are restaurants. Many options on the main road, but above the grocery store is an excellent one with a fantastic view. There is also Gym Tonic, that offers American/British style breakfast and delivers pizza. Next is the accommodations. Fully kitted kitchen, 1 and 1/2 baths, air conditioning in every major room, even eyeshades for guest in the second bedroom because the window is too high to draw the shade! Washing machine and solar drier(clothes line). Next is transportation. Praiano is more remote that Amalfi or Postitano. As with an remote area, transportation will use up a higher percentage of time than other locations. Finally is the owner support. Giovanna arranged taxi service from Naples and assistance with the luggage. When we arrived, both packaged and warm homemade treats where waiting for us, along with cold water. During our stay, we started the washing machine and after a few load bangs, it too decide the take a holiday in Amalfi. A note to Giovanna via the VRBO site, had a neighbor checking it out for us. After my wife and she discussed the issue in the universal woman’s language for laundry, Giovanna let us know a service technician was needed. 15 minutes later, the technician was there (how was that possible…in the US, it takes two weeks to get someone). And 5 minutes after that problem was solved. We offered to pay for repair but no fees where asked for. We loved this location and unit and recommend it to a couple and a family of four.
