We stayed 3 nights at The Cape Colony Inn in June. Never stayed before but we would stay again. The room was very pleasant and clean. There is a safe and a fridge and microwave. Breakfast was laid out in the reception area and there were boxes to take it back to the room or to eat outside on the tables (under cover), or there are seats round the fire pit. A choice of muffins, yoghurts, a fresh fruit basket and teas/coffees etc. People used the firepit of a night which was nice to see and there were also BBQ sets at the back on the lawn. There were some games laid out too which people used. We didn’t have time to use the pool but it did look lovely, not a huge pool but there was soft seating, rocking chairs and sunbeds around it.
The only thing I didn’t like is that there was a sort of central drive way between the two blocks and the cars are parked diagonally. I found parking a Ford Edge in between 2 SUVs a little challenging, but it may not bother other people. I also think that they say it’s a 10-15 minute walk into town (the pier). We drove in of a night as we estimated the walk to be at least a half hour stroll. Also, there are no pavements.
