Great house but not as close to the beach as advertised.

Great little house with everything you need. The pool is a bit small, but has an outdoor shower and bbq! The only thing is that we thought it was beach front and it is really a Kilometre away ot more. However, Carrillo beach is isolated and beautiful!

Maisonnette confortable avec piscine parfaite pour l’aquagym. Les employées de l’entretien ménager sont impeccables. Malheureusement, nous avons été dérangés 90% du temps par d’énormes travaux de construction chez les deux propriétés adjacentes. Un bruit constant 12 heures par jour. Maison située dans un nouveau quartier où la construction de maisons est continuelle.

Awesome yard and pool!

We had a great stay at Danny’s place with our 2 kids ages 3 and 7. Things we loved: - The pool was perfect for our family with a shallow area, but also deep enough to swim. - The backyard was so wonderful. We saw monkeys, iguanas, coatis, and lots of birds! - The house is well shaded. - Great kitchen, fridge and stove. We ate most of our meals at home and had everything we needed. - Neighborhood is quiet - The home was very clean and beds comfy! - Danny was responsive and helpful with the couple of questions we had. - Close to grocery stores, restaurants (recommend driving to them, but possible to walk) - AC worked well in bedrooms Things to consider: - This listing will be best enjoyed with a car. We considered a golf cart rental before arriving based on how the listing was advertised, but once seeing the house’s location we opted for a car. - The house is a 5 minute drive to the beach. You could walk it, but just note that the road is busy and there isn’t a shoulder. We would definitely stay here again!

very nice but need a car

Danny's place was clean and comfortable. The pool and yard are very private and lovely. Danny is a great host very responsive. Our only regret is that we did not rent a golf cart before we arrived. The home is a good 30 min walk to Playa Carillo beach which is beautiful and at least 15 min to a mercado. I love walking but not on busy roads with no shoulder. There is a bus stop right out front but it only passes every 2 hours. overall a very nice place.

Nice backyard

We were a bit disappointed with this property compared to others we had been to, the home is a bit dark and has patio furniture for the dining room table. Also the doors were a bit hard to open and the second bathroom can only be accessed externally (not big deal for us since it was just us 2, but worth knowing for others). The backyard was our favorite part, the pool was lovely and outdoor seating area. The bedrooms had AC which was a huge plus. The host Danny was easy to reach and interact with.

Great stay in Playa Carrillo

Spent a couple of nights at Danny's place in Playa Carrillo. House was nice, clean, comfortable spaces, and the pool is great too! Location makes a couple local beaches easy to reach without a crazy long drive, so great spot if you want a good home base to explore this part of Guanacaste.

Nice pool and yard

We were a bit disappointed with this property. We had specifically looked only for properties with two bedrooms and two bathrooms. The description failed to mention that the second bathroom could not be accessed from inside the house - only from outside. Also, there were a couple of issues with door locks. The master bedroom's outside door was very difficult to lock. The door to the second bedroom would lock automatically if you closed it which was a problem if you were outside the room as you would not be able to get back in. We called about this problem and someone was sent to try various keys to unlock the door but none worked and the problem was never solved. Also, though there was a good supply of dishes and cutlery, there were no extras like salt and pepper. We had just come from a property that was so well stocked that this quite unwelcoming. There was no hot water in the house, although this may be common in Costa Rica. We did, however, enjoy the private backyard and pool.
