The grounds are beautiful! Upon arriving we were greeted with a yummy refreshing drink. Had enough space to hold our large group. Food at the complimentary breakfast buffet was very good! Pool was lovely, super close to the Carrillo beach and Samara beach. Saw beautiful red macaws at Playa Carrillo. Would definitely stay again!

The staff was friendly. The room was as described. However, there were ants in our room. They did address the first report, but then there were still multiple ants in the room. The lighting was poor in the room and bathroom. The restaurant service was friendly. However slow and they did not check on you during the meal. It was very expensive and overpriced, but food tasted good. The breakfast buffet at first was ok, but half way through the week they switched to a small menu to pick from and it did not taste good, not enough choices. Coffee way too strong. However the garden in-between the main building and outer building was nice and we could see lots of birds and flowers. Having the pool blocked by the trees of the garden was nice although they could have kept up with the cleaning a bit more frequent as there was a lot of foliage floating around and also at the bottom of the pool as well as bugs.

Me and my wife stayed there 9 night and we took advantage of the dining at the facility,food was absolutly wounderful and the portion were generous,the room,pool restaurant was clean to perfection . The property is kids friendly. I think they could of had better choices for breakfast. We order off the menu and there were 6 items in it to choose from. The hotel has shuttle to the beach which is very convenient. We also used the complementary beach chairs and the bathroom at the beach.

Our first time at this resort and we are very happy that we choose. The staff and manager (Josephine) was very friendly. Many thanks to Eddie and Henry the servers and chef who cooked our "catch of the day" for three days on the row. Chelsea,the receptionist helped us booking another 2 days and we didn't have to move the another room. The pools were very clean and the breakfast was delicious. We can't wait to return to this piece of paradise and we highly recommend it.

I love boutique hotels and Leyenda is no exception. The grounds are quite beautiful. They greeted us with a welcome drink! We stayed for 3 nights total, family of 5. We had the superior 2 bedroom and the room was good but we did add an extra room after our first night for more space and another bathroom (my fault for thinking the 3 beds/1 bath would be sufficient with two teens). We enjoyed the big pool! Wished it was a bit cooler to be a refresh from the heat, or that a part of the pool had some shade (never thought I’d say that!) We ate 3 dinners here and each dinner was AMAZING! I can not recommend their dinners enough. Warning: the portions are HUGE and very shareable. Unfortunately, the complimentary breakfast buffet was not as good as their dinner. However, the made to order cappuccinos were lovely. We took the shuttle to the beach one day and I highly recommend Playa Carillo as it was the best beach we visited in Costa Rica. Just stunning! The next day we drove our rental car to the beach and back. Overall, I would return here again. For the price, the location and amenities are a great deal. PS. The Asiatic restaurant is not open, which we were looking forward to. Luckily that main restaurant had a large variety and incredible food.

Super Hôtel , lieu magnifique !
