It was an amazing experience. The staff was amazing. Everything about this experience was great. The only thing I was suggest is we didn’t have any hot water for our showers in the upstair bathrooms but I read in the book down the road about a button but this should have been pressed up front. Hot water in bathrooms is a necessity. Otherwise everything was great. I would definitely recommend and stay at this property again.

Great Place in Puerta Plata

A little get away from the Cruise people and the main stays. Nice, large, cozy and BEAUTIFUL. The pool was amazing. Our chef cooked what we asked, when we asked. The housekeepers maintained the property continuously. The groundskeeper was fantastic.The is a golf cart for an additional 25/day. We recommend. Only surprise was paying 3 for each 5 gallon bottle of water. But that was okay. Don't drink the tap water. Wife and daughter accidently baked a chocolate cake and forget. Got a stomach issue the last three (3) days.The massages and activites made it all worth it.

Amazing Villa

Ten days in heaven. If you want to come to the DR but don’t like all inclusives, this is the answer. Beautiful villa, fantastic staff. It was ideal for our family retreat.

Million dollar view!!!

My family and I spent 5 days at this lovely Villa with amazing ocean views from every balcony and the amazing outdoor space. The villa is exactly as detailed and pictured in the listing. The pool is large and absolutely sparkling clean. The on-site staff keeps the villa and pool clean, there were no bugs or spiders which in the DR is pretty common. The Stevens were very accommodating allowing me to book at the last minute. They immediately provided all the information on the villa, the staff, location, wifi password, transportation, and meal options. They truly thought of everything. I can not say enough about the outdoor space, the only minor negative is being so close to the lifestyles resort which can be loud at times however that would not stop me from returning to this villa again. We felt completely safe but having private overnight security was an added bonus. I honestly am amazed at the price of this huge immaculately clean Villa with amazing ocean views and a full staff that cooks all your meals and cleans daily, it seems to good to be true but it was and I will definitely return. Thank you for sharing your wonderful home with my Family and I.

Beautiful home; don’t come for the beach

The house was beautiful and clean. Pool was fabulous and definitely the highlight. Shower heads need to be cleaned to increase water flow. Mosquitoes were out of control. Staff were lovely and helpful. The biggest issue for this place is the area. The beach is terrible. Dirty and smells of sewage. It is not convenient or cost effective for groceries. Not a lot of options for eating out or shopping. We were a large group with kids both young and teenagers. It made us uncomfortable that the kids’ rooms were on the lower level and all adults upstairs. The bunk beds are also only suitable for small children. Overall we had a great trip and enjoyed ourselves but would not stay again.

What a great trip! First time to Puerta Plata and we had a wonderful stay. We travel with our friends, husband and wife and everyone had a wonderful time. The home is perfect and we truly enjoyed the staff which became friends. We look forward to going to stay again in the near future.

Beautiful home...outstanding staff!

We enjoyed our visit here. The house is comfortable and incredibly clean. We enjoyed time by the pool and on the patio/verandas. The staff is phenomenal! It was so nice to be spoiled with delicious meals and a staff who took care of everything. Tania and Yanni were so efficient and are great cooks--they kept our living space immaculate. Narcisco was always available if we needed a water run and he keeps the pool spotless! Gambino was quick to respond on What's App and always had the answers we needed. He arranged cabs for us to and from the airport and to dinner one night. Gus took such good care of us--he set us up on excursions and even escorted us himself on 2 different occasions. Our trip would not have been the same if it wasn't for these wonderful people who were devoted to making sure we enjoyed our visit. We took advantage of the option for massages and facials on the veranda upstairs--this was heavenly! Highly recommend!The hosts were equally as attentive when we had questions and they truly have a beautiful home--we were so grateful it was available to stay in.If I would offer one thing that was less than perfect, it was the noise from the resort across the way. This is not any fault of the owners or the staff, but there were times of the day when their music and DJ were a bit more/louder than we cared to listen to. We played our own music by the pool and were able to tune it out. Overall, we recommend this property! Thank you for having us!

An amazing trip

From the moment I made my reservation. The owners have answered every question I had. I’ve never been to the DR before so I wasn’t sure what to expect. We arrived Saturday afternoon, I was asked if I wanted Tania to cook dinner that night and breakfast Sunday morning. We chose just breakfast so Gabino suggested a restaurant for dinner, made the reservations for us a had a taxi pick us up. The restaurant los tres cocos was amazing. I highly recommend that place. Sunday we had a full breakfast and then sat down with Tania to talk about dinners. We chose to go grocery shopping with her bc I like to and it was great to experience the difference between the US anDR. Gus came by Sunday to set up our excursions for the week. He was so good plus a couple of the guys wanted to go to specific cigar place and Gus came by a took them personally. Narisco was there every morning with a smile on his face doing what he does. He was just a pleasure, but my favorite part of the week was Tania and Yanny. The food was amazing. There was not one meal that we didn’t enjoy. They even came in one morning early bc we had an early excursion and were always happy and helpful with the house and helped a few time with cabs. Knowing what we know now, we would have eaten every meal in and skipped eating out. The whole experience was wonderful. Probably the most relaxing vacation I have ever had.

Family gathering in sunny climate

Our family has an early holiday celebration in warmer, sunny climate. The house was great and the staff friendly. Tanya is a good cultural cook. A bit of a food desert if you want to eat out and going to the grocery was 50 round trip - so, could get pricey. Recommend bringing bug spray as the mosquitoes were hungry. The weather was lovely the setting was just what we wanted. Only thing the beach was a short walk and not the prettiest. We enjoy our togetherness.

Wow! This villa is absolutely gorgeous. At first it did sound almost too good to be true, beautiful villa with full staff? Yes! The staff is amazing and so attentive, we were reassured quickly that this Villa was the Real Deal! We will be returning.

House of Mermaids review

Leading up to the stay, the hosts were open to answering any questions and the sent out a few documents so that we would know about the property. Some odd things - 1) You cannot flush toilet paper. A few in my party of 7 had some issues with this. It is unusual for someone from the U.S., but common in the DR. 2) We were at the house from July 4-12, 2024, and it was very warm. Not having air conditioning in the living areas was uncomfortable. We kept the doors and windows open, but there was no cool breeze. It was warm and bugs flew in the house. All of us had numerous bug bites when we left. We closed up the house at dusk as the bugs were attracted to the house lights at night. They need to add air conditioning to the living areas like they have in the bedrooms. 3) Although having a chef sounds good, she wasn't willing to suggest meals. We asked her what her specialties were and what she liked to cook and she really wouldn't tell us. It was nice having a chef and someone to clean up from meals, but the meals were not wonderful. They were "fine" to "good". 4) The Cofresi beach is not a place where you want to chill out and relax. Don't plan on spending time there. You will spend your time at the pool at the house. 5) The house has a 5 gallon water dispenser. Make sure that you get plenty of bottles to use for toothbrushing and dish washing. You still have to pay, but it's cheaper and easier than individual bottles. The house was nice, but we would not revisit. 7/10.

villas de las sirenas experience

Absolutely Amazing! Our family enjoyed our stay to the fullest. I can not say enough about how great Tania, Yanny, and Narciso treated us. Royal treatment from the moment we arrived until the moment we left. Tania's cooking is amazing. Everything we ate was delicious! Our family made wonderful memories. We visited Sosua Beach which was just gorgeous. We also did some horseback riding and enjoyed that experience with our guide Rafael. A few suggestions: bring a portable bidet, insect repellent,and anti inch topical bug cream. We were not fans pf the confressi beach, lots of rocks and seaweed. Visit Sosua for a wonderful beach experience. Many thanks to the staff at the villa for taking such good care of us and preparing delicious meals.

Pool, food, and fun...Beautiful place to stay

We felt welcomed from the moment we arrived. Tania, Yany, and Narciso were there to greet us and help with the luggage. Tania and Yany had a delicious lunch of fried chicken, a fruit plate, and a salad...just one of many wonderfully tasty meals they made for us. The house is especially beautiful; true to the pictures. Great views of the ocean; it was very relaxing to sit in the rockers on the upstairs balconies, taking in the views while basking in the ocean breeze. The pool was sooo much fun; that is where we spent many hours. Narciso kept it so clean and refreshing. Chelo kept watch over the home at night to make sure everything was well. We felt safe the whole time at the home and walking to the restaurants and beach. The restaurants are within a few minutes walking; all had great food and service. Everyone we met in the area was kind and helpful…Like the taxi driver (manager) who gave us a ride back to the Villa when we got a little lost on our way back from a beach walk and ended up on the depot's doorstep asking for directions...so kind of him. Thanks to Paul and Nancy for sharing your beautiful home, to Gabino for arranging our transport and making sure things ran smoothly, to Gustavo for arranging some relaxing massages, and to Tania, Yany, Narciso, and Chelo for taking such good care of us! We had a truly memorable family vacation at Villa de las Sirenas!
