There are very few restaurants to choose from. On the first day we arrived, we only had a buffet, and it was super invincible terrible. All other restaurants need to make an appointment and we are Expedia customers so there is no room service for us. I can't order food to my room. There are only two bottles of water in the room, no refrigerator, no other soda and beer are even more impossible. Anyway We won't come back again

Room was filthy with cob webs and dust all over ceiling. No hot water for first 3 days. Food was super limited. No toast in morning. Coffee was extremely poor like weak bildge water. Music was really loud and like a night club at times. There was a wedding one night and the music was so loud in our room it was deafening until 11pm. Staff was nice but it didn't make up for the shortfalls.

The hotel outside is amazing pools. Amazing restaurants are amazing. The buffet could use some variety. They should have some drinks for the kids like a special kids section different drinks for them. They always have feature drinks for the adults, but never for the kids. The rooms are horrible. They need updating big time. We’ve stayed here twice now and both times the room has been horrible for the price that we’re paying. I would expect a better room everything falling apart we went to use the pullout bed. There wasn’t even any springs left in it you literally sound right down to the ground as soon as you sat on it The mattress was horrible. It was literally flat like a pancake. It was probably 50 years old. My son couldn’t sleep on that nobody could sleep on that so then I had to wait for somebody to come up and look at it and then go and get me a bed that was suitable for him to sleep on that we had to put in the middle of our living room. My daughter fell on their pool deck and smashed her head. It was bleeding. She had cuts on her head. I phoned and asked for the doctor to come up to look at her head they looked at her head, bandaged it up and said that she should probably go to an ER. They told me that a letter to clear her so that she can go on an airplane and it would either be $100 US cash that night $90 US cash the next day or I would have to go to a hospital and spend thousands that should’ve been free when my daughter fell on their pool deck and smashed head

We loved the resort and our time spent there . Room was large and clean . Staff were friendly and welcoming very helpful with any questions. The breakfast and dinner options were excellent! Drinks were good and the overall atmosphere here was great calm and not overwhelming! Only things I’d change the snack shack was lacking warm food.

The staff at Canto Del Sol are very friendly, helpful, & are genuinely happy to work there. The staff at the buffet area, the cevicheria, pool area, entertainment, & housekeeping. We never encountered someone who was not happy. Various pools- the main pool has the kiddie & main pool, pool activities, music, direct access to the buffet, & snack area. Very attentive staff making sure our drinks were always full. Tip- take a travel mug as their cups are not allowed in or around the pool areas. I appreciate that this was enforced by the 2-3 security men that are making sure everyone is safe. The other pool is across the hotel, you take a short bridge where you find the cevicheria (that is amazing) & a relaxed & calm environment with low music. The only cons are the facilities, the pools have several missing tiles, & the room we stayed in (super saver) had

Like many people I had read the reviews and was a little skeptical but let me assure you once we got there everything went seamlessly Yes the resort is a bit on the older side but it's extremely clean everywhere Our room was cleaned daily And once you figure out that Hot is cold and cold is hot you will enjoy a Hot Shower!! LOL The food for us was really mediocre but you can always find something that you would enjoy eating. The breakfast are phenomenal with enough choices to please absolutely everybody Fruits are fresh the eggs are fresh ect. The service in eating area is phenomenal they are all super friendly. And you are just a close ride to the Malecon Where the best two for one Margarita are .. Not the hotel that was my one disappointment The beach is great No Umbrellas but don't worry there is a fella there that will rent you one for 300 pesos for the day. We did that for 7 days .. support the locals :) This hotel is geared towards the Mexicans You are in Mexico! Oh and our bed was super comfy.. Cheers
