“we had an amazing time at barcelo for a week. it was a great location if you want a bit of quiet, and good for sunsets!! i recommend bringing shampoo and conditioner though, as the shampoo isn’t the best and there is not conditioner in the suites. the room size was huge which we were pleasantly surprised by! lots of pool area, beach access and nice walks along the beach in both directions. i would stay there again!”

“There are very few restaurants to choose from. On the first day we arrived, we only had a buffet, and it was super invincible terrible. All other restaurants need to make an appointment and we are Expedia customers so there is no room service for us. I can't order food to my room. There are only two bottles of water in the room, no refrigerator, no other soda and beer are even more impossible. Anyway We won't come back again”

“We really enjoyed the Mexican Fiesta on Friday evening. We enjoyed the food, at both the buffet and the restaurant. The staff was friendly. The pools were always packed, and sometimes it was hard to get service at the pools. One thing we would like to see improved are the drinks. Some beer options other than Modelo and Corona Light would be nice. Maybe an IPA or some craft beers. The Tequila was not good quality; thus, many of the drinks were not very good. But all in all, we had a great……

“ive been coming here for many many years and you cant beat the location and price. We love the small size of the resort and it has everything you need. The last 3 times we came we had to switch rooms due to mildew smell and visible mold in some rooms on the walls and ceiling. This past trip we tried to get switch due to the mildew smell and had to wait til the next day. it was almost impossible to sleep. If you get lucky with a more updated room without the mildew smell its great. if not it can……
