Loved the location!

We absolutely loved this location on the beach in the Cinco de Diciembre neighborhood. If food and views are focuses, it’d be hard to beat this spot.

Excellent Property

Fantastic property -- great apartment layout, right on the beach, short walk to PV points of interest, excellent restaurants nearby (such as Tacon de Marlin for favorable shrimp burritas) and fantastic sunsets from the apartment's balcony or the rooftop at Los Cuatro Vientos. Highly recommend the property.

Ideal Location

This is an absolutely lovely property in the best neighborhood. We were thrilled to see the sunset from the main balcony while the full moon rose over the hills from the 2nd bedroom balcony. Magic. If you love to hear the surf while you sleep, this is your place.

Perfect location!

We loved our stay! Spectacular sunsets, amazing (heated) pool which was a real treat to return to after a long day of adventures. So close to the Malecon that everything is right outside your door. We loved the sound of the waves, even when the windows were closed it was like sitting right on the beach. Sharing the events of the day with other guests made it even more special. The apartment was as represented with everything we needed, and for the price point it just couldn’t be beat. Will definitely be back!

Prime location and well-maintained property

We had an amazing stay at Puerta al Mar for six days. The condo was very clean and relaxing. You can hear the peaceful waves crashing from the apartment. Condo was in a prime location in 5 de diciembre. The Malecon is only 15 minutes by foot, and there are wonderful restaurants all within 5-minute walk. The property has friendly attendants available as your concierge, and I was able to make arrangements with Paulette to have pick up to and from the airport. We wish we could have stayed longer!

Awesome and the best location but…

This is a great place and an even greater location. Lots of option in PV so we’ll try another place next time. Only thing I didn’t like was the bed linens were very cheap and very old. Not at all what you should get for 600 a night. I have a vrbo and I’d never ask a guest to sleep like that. So, bring your own linens and have a blast. And owner, please train your housekeeper to clean glass and don’t ask us to squeegee it! Nuts for the price.

Absolute Gem!

The place is absolutely charming. Only 8 condos in the property so no rush at the (heated) pool. Just open the property door and you are right there on the beach. The master bedroom has a balcony overlooking the beach, perfect for the apéro. It’s a quiet area of the beach, away from night clubs, although walking distance from everything, malecon, centro and romantic zone. Super friendly staff Rosa and Jorge are at your service. If you have the chance of seeing this place available, don’t hesitate, jump on it!

Chirstmas Vacation

We stayed in this property over the Christmas Holiday and had a great time. Because of flight issues we ended up arriving a day late, so we ended up arriving on Sunday and Rosa was there to meet us even though it was her day off. Paulette the Property Host was responsive to any of our requests and was always available when we texted or called her. The location of this property is perfect. Right on the beach in the middle of the Centro Zone. You can walk everywhere. Romanitca Zone is a mile to the south. The Marina is 3 miles to the north. Tons of restaurants and shops all around. The grocery store is right around the corner. Its a good spot. We had 6 adults and it was a bit small for all of us. I feel this property is ideal for 4 adults. It had the essentials needed but lacked a few things like hairdryers, ice chest to take down to beach. Enjoyed our time here.

Great condo!

Our family very much enjoyed our stay at this condo. The beds are comfy, the bathrooms are very nice, and the kitchen worked very well for us. Being right on the beautiful beach was great, and the pool was very nice. Marta and all the staff were very helpful and accommodating!

Hidden Gem

This place was a hidden gem! If you want to get the feel of Puerto Vallarta this is the place to be! You are right on the beach and nightly have a breathtaking view of the ever changing sunsets. Walking distance to some great taco stands and restaurants. We will be staying here again,

Safe and clean 2 bedroom and 3 bathroom unit on the third floor and right on the beach with beautiful views. Pool and beach were great as were all the staff at the condo. Easy walk to the malecon. Great Location

Perfect spot right on the ocean. Great staff that was attentive and friendly. Condo was spacious enough and clean. Great restaurants and grocery store nearby. Walkable to Malecon and Zona Romantica. Waves were a bit rough when we were there. Some nightclub/street noise from the back bedroom at night. Beautiful views of sunsets from the 3rd floor balconies!

Excellent Location and Awesome Views

We loved our stay. The locations is so convenient, restaurants, bars, Malecón only 4 blocks away. Beautiful sunset views from the balcony. The beach is clean and perfect for kids to play. There are activities all around. I highly recommend this place to stay. We had a blast. Don Jorge, Rosa and Don David made us feel welcome and safe. The pool is heated so it was a plus for my child. We enjoyed a delicious bbq on the terrace next to the pool with the ocean view. I can’t tell you enough about this I lace and its LOCATION.

Getaway from the Northeast/US

Good location for access to restaurants, groceries, etc. Owner and manager very helpful in attending to a few issues that came up, and felt completely safe. Only disappointment was that the beach front was too rocky to enjoy the swimming, and it seemed like the beach was a huge dog park, most unleashed, especially early in the morning. Unit was well equipped and comfortable, although there is a fair amount of night time noise on the street side. Two couples in our 70's, did have a great time.

Perfect location for exploring PV and enjoying the beach

Location is excellent, direct access to the beach and a short walk to the Malecon. Lots of good eating possibilities nearby, plus a grocery store. Waves are a constant noise which took a little getting used to, and sometimes there are parties on the beach, but only once did it disturb our sleep. It was nice not to be right in the main tourist area, and we enjoyed watching all the dogs and their owners having a wonderful time on the beach. Apartment is well equipped with a washer, dryer, dishwasher, microwave, stove, oven, blender, toaster, etc.. A few things could make it perfect - sharpen the cutting knifes, replace some of the seat cushions on the dining room chairs, one of pool towels is badly frayed, pillows in small bedroom need replacing, no drain plug or cold water in sink in main bathroom, and door to balcony from main bedroom doesn’t open. But a couple of other minor issues were fixed when we reported them. Martha and the maintenance man, night watchman and maid were all excellent to deal with and made us feel welcome. Pool is great too!

No what I had expected

The furniture of this condo was terrible. All the beds were hard as rock. The sofa only held 2 people, there was no comfortable spot to lounge. Non of the outside patio doors locked. The owner did try to have them fixed but they to be replaced. We felt very in safe. The closets rods need to be secured as you move your clothes over and it all comes falling down. The blinds fell when closing them. The area in which this condo is located is not mean for the elderly, as the sidewalks are very in even I believe this place could be better with a lot of TLC . Do not recommend this place

Lack of amenities

The owner was very clear that there would be no condiments, but the reality was still very disappointing, and made eating in difficult. In addition, there was no aluminum foil or any other packaging like sarin wrap or wax paper, etc. The highlight was the "concierge", Rosa, who was very helpful. The instructions we received once we had secured the reservation stated that there would only be one roll of toilet paper in each bath and one roll of paper towels. Indeed this was true, but every place we have ever rented in over 25 years, world wide, has had extra toilet paper and papertowels available. (and the paper towel roll left was not a full roll.Hot water ran low after 5 min in the shower. There was no shampoo or any other small toilet items that we have always had in other rentals just to start off the stay. We would suggest that the kitchen sink faucet be replaced as it is quite old and splashes water everywhere.

Excellent accommodation

Staff was amazing. First time renting a condo in PVR, we usually do a hotel but we thought we would give this a try. Paulette and her staff were amazing in making our stay a memorable one. Check in process was smooth and our bags were taken to the room. AC was pre-cooling the room which was a plus. Condo very convenient to the grocery store, LA Ley, and to the best tacos in town "Gato Taco." One thing I enjoyed was being able to have family over for a pool day as we ate Shrimp Ceviche around the pool. They do supply a gas grill however I couldn't convince the family to a steak. We decided to rent a car, not really needed if just hanging out local, but we went on a day trip. Garage was a little tight during the parking but with the help of the security staff is was smooth. Security was amazing, They were on top of making sure we were secure but keeping in mind to treat you like a friend. Condo was fully stocked and if we needed anything Martha was right there. Washer and dryer was a plus, I know your not supposed to wash clothes on vacation but who could resist. Beds and linens were clean and a good comfort level of the mattress. Views were amazing and the convenience of the pool and beach were awesome. I would definitely come back to this condo, big reason is if you treat the staff like your family, they will treat you like family. We will miss them and see them again soon. Manuel
