The staff are delightful, friendly and welcoming. This is an absolute gem of a place that we felt looked after the moment we arrived at the jetty for the boat to the island. Our one bedroom garden suite was spacious and brimming with classic charm of the tropics. Love this place and will definitely visit again.

Excellent food, superb staff, Unbelievable value. Only issue is the sea is rather cloudy and can have detritus in it. A net and posted tide times would help. We had a spectacular honeymoon, and the spa was sublime. A totally relaxing time marred only by a regatta that had people who had clearly forgotten how to dress for dinner or even wear shoes. We cannot wait to return in the future. Nothing was too much for any member of the staff.

We had stayed at Rebak Island Resort about 10 years ago when it was managed by Taj, and returned for a 5-day stay this time. The natural setting is still beautiful and the private beach remains a highlight, but the property feels dated and service is not at the same level of consistency or polish that we experienced during the Taj era. Positives: • The private beach is stunning, with especially beautiful views from the sea view rooms. • Convenient ferry transfers to Cenang Beach gave us easy access to a wide variety of restaurants and bars. • Breakfast was decent, with a fair selection (though weaker on Indian options compared to the Taj days). • Kayaking was easy to book directly through the hotel and turned out to be an enjoyable activity. Negatives: • The property feels dated, with worn fixtures, limited plug points (only one US-friendly), and a poorly maintained bathroom. The water heater also ran excessively hot, to the point of being a potential hazard. • Service was inconsistent. Some staff, such as those at breakfast and room service, were very attentive, while others, particularly at the pool bar and Indian food station, were disengaged. • Dinner at the hotel’s à la carte restaurant was underwhelming, which led us to dine in Cenang for the rest of our stay. Overall, still 4/5 because we value the private beach the most, and the remaining annoyances are things we can live with.

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour à l’hôtel Rebak Islande. Que ce soit le confort des chambres, la piscine ou encore le restaurant, tout était vraiment à la hauteur de nos attentes. Toutefois, je recommande à l’établissement de procéder à un nettoyage plus régulier des plages afin de préserver l’environnement et la beauté de la mer.
