"Clean room, nice pool, good breakfast, AC works well, great location on the beach and nice staff. They place is quite dated though. No mini-fridge, poor wifi, poor hot water."
Beachfront, incredible views, 4bd, 4+ba, fish/swim/snorkel in the Sea of Cortez
10/10 Excellent
"We had an exceptional stay at Casa Tortuga! As advertised and more. The location is exquisite—on a remote and beautiful beach with clear water, clean sand, and few other houses in the area. And the house is well-maintained and beautiful. Each bedroom is spacious and well-appointed with toiletries, closet drawers, bedside tables, and couches. And each has a nice view! The pool was a huge hit with the kids (ages 4.5 and 6) and adults alike with a gradual shallow end, swim-up bar, and hot tub. We hired Elvira to cook some of our meals (through the host), and her food was delicious. A true gem! "
"Firstly, I rarely review any business good or bad, but Hotel Palmas de Cortez was simply appalling. When checking in, the woman at the front desk would only cut us one key card for the room for 3 people. She said come back tomorrow if you want more. She was incredibly rude. When we got to the room, it was a dump. We had a Presidential suite and it was anything but! It was so run down and disgusting we went back to the front desk and asked for another room. We were subsequently shown room that was covered in more dust, had dead insects on the window sills, stunk of mold and didn't look as if it had been cleaned in months! We eventually stayed in the original room as we had no choice. We went out and bought cleaning products from the local supermarket and cleaned the room ourselves to where it was livable. Housekeeping only made the bed and folded the used towels. I deliberately left dust on one of the sofa arms to see if housekeeping would wipe it off during the 6 nights we were there - it was not! The overall hotel is tired and desperately in need of a facelift and someone who cares about the property. The restaurants on site were terrible however the staff at least were pleasant and helpful. The pool bar doesn't serve food - you have to get takeout! The gym was disgracefully filthy - couldn't use it! We've stayed at many properties in Mexico, some good, some bad, but nothing like this! The website portrays the hotel as something entirely different to reality. Stay away!"
"This home is perfect for a group vacation; beautiful location, great swimmable beach, and plenty of places to be outside at the pool, hot tub, tiki bar, or various patios. Cannot recommend enough."
Beachfront Hacienda on the Sea of Cortez with pool near Four Seasons Resort
10/10 Excellent
"I’ve been coming to this area for over 25 years renting houses on the beach and this beautiful house was the best! Attention to detail, two en suite great for 2 couples with a third bathroom. Location felt save and easy to find. Gina was great the whole way providing details for questions that came up. Ocean and pool toys! Fabulous area recommendations by Gina & Greg. Property managers were helpful and accommodating. Ventured into the Four Seasons for a fancy margarita - worth it. And last but definitely not least we booked the 90 minute outdoor massages with Cynthia OMG worth every penny and more!!! Hope to return to this delightful place soon!"
New Ocean front 4-bdrm villa, Pool, Hot Tub WiFi, AC in beautiful Playa Colorada
10/10 Excellent
"The house is absolutely beautiful, and the view is amazing. Nothing beats waking up in the morning, watching the whales breaching and playing as they migrate out of Baja up north. The sunrise was out of this world.
The house is excellent; every room is well-equipped and comfortable, and the common areas are tastefully decorated and offer views in every corner. The pool was great, and the hot tub was well-heated and cared for weekly. The caretakers are kind and extremely helpful. We had a great experience. I would go back in a heartbeat. Keep in mind the town is developing, so you might want to do your shopping before heading to La Ribeira. Thank you for sharing your house with us ♥️"
