Wow! This place blew me away. Great old town location. Really quaint, spacious, family run hotel. They really go out of their way to make sure your stay is pleasant. Made to order breakfast was a bonus. Would highly recommend this hotel to friends, family and fellow travelers.

This place was exceptionally clean. The staff went above and beyond to ensure I got into the correct car by calling and waiting for the taxi or tour bus. The kitchen offers 24-hour self-serve water, tea, and local fruits. The breakfast smelled delicious, although I only managed to enjoy it once because I was picked up early in the morning before breakfast hours. As a family-run establishment, the staff is incredibly attentive to their guests.

Highly highly recommended. This is a must stay place in Quito for budget conscious travellers who still want the warmth, service and location of a 5 star hotel. Hosts Angela and Alexandre were the most incredible hosts and went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable with advice and suggestions. The hotel is in a great area within the historic centre making it easy to walk to lots of attractions. Delicious breakfast on the rooftop alfresco area. Extremely reasonably priced. You can’t ask for more.

This has to be my favorite hotel in Quito! The location is centered only a few blocks from La Plaza Grande and accessible to everything! The owners were extremely friendly and hospitable! The breakfast that comes with the rate was top notch for a continental breakfast! I was in a beautiful room with a balcony that looked out to the Cathedral and the surrounding streets. The hotel is safe and the staff will go above and beyond to accommodate your needs. This will be my hotel of choice every time I stay in Quito!

Bei diesem Hotel ist äußerste Vorsicht geboten, da die Inhaber kriminelle Rassisten sind und sich daran ergötzen, weiße ausländische Touristen, vorwiegend aus Nordamerika und Europa, zu betrügen und zu bedrohen. Sie bieten auf verschiedenen Buchungsseiten ihre Doppelzimmer mit Blick auf die Stadt und Balkon an. Was man bekommt ähnelt eher einer Abstellkammer, ohne Fenster, ohne Klimaanlage, dazu noch schmutzig und klein wie ein Viehgehege, da leben die Kühe auf den Bauernhöfen außerhalb Quitos besser. In diesen Zimmern ist noch die Luft, die der ehemalige Staatsheld Guillermo Rodríguez Lara schon geatmet hat. Die Rezeptionistin ist sich keiner Schuld bewusst, nennt uns arrogante und verwöhnte Europäer, meint, man würde die Zimmer per Zufallsprinzip verteilen und wir hätten halt einfach Pech gehabt. Wenn ich Glücksspiel will, gehe ich ins Casino. Wenn es nur das wäre... Bettlaken mit Blutflecken, einmal barfuß durchs Zimmer ins Badezimmer und man denkt, man wäre über Kohle gelaufen, Füße schwarz wie bei einen Schwarzafrikaner. Sofort reklamiert, Angestellte machen einen Aufstand, wechseln das Laken schlussendlich, beklauen mich um 20 USD und beschimpfen uns aufs übelste nach geleisteter Arbeit. Nach einer Nacht war dann Schluss, nachdem eine Ratte aus dem Kleiderschrank kam, wir sind runter zu Rezeption und forderten den vollen Preis zurück. Hotelchef und Familienvater drohte mir, mich umbringen zu lassen. Fernhalten!

Staff were friendly and genuinely seemed like they wanted us to enjoy our stay, but as soon as I walked in to the bathroom, I saw black mold. I am glad we were only there for about 10 hours. The location was not great, very noisy all night, we barely slept, and did not seem like the safest place to go out at night. There were 3 or 4 locks on the door. We left too early for breakfast. The beds were fairly comfortable. It’s the black mold that did it for us. Gross.
