Fireside Inn on Moonstone Beach

"The. room was. perfectly located across from beach access. The only disappointment was the lack of a microwave in room. There was a. coffee maker and refrigerator in room but no microwave. In the last. 30 yrs., I have never seen accommodations not including these appliances. It was necessary to purchase a small microwave since I require this for personal use. Other than that, the stay could not be better."

"Beautiful property. We loved the room they gave us! It had a king bed, a real fireplace, a deck, and a partial ocean view. It felt so peaceful as it was away from the main buildings. There is one other room next door, which might have changed things, but it was vacant during our stay, so it felt like we had our own little getaway. The room could use a little TLC here and there, but it was very clean, and the bed was comfortable. The TV and fireplace worked great. The woman at the front desk who checked us in was so sweet, and it was probably the quickest hotel check-in we’ve ever had. They even gave us a complimentary bottle of champagne. The property is huge and right on the beach, and the evening sunset fires were really fun. We sat around the fires chatting with other travelers, which gave the whole place such a friendly, welcoming feel. We did not try the pool areas."

"Great breakfast. Nice pool and hot tub. The main guy in the office very nice and helpful. All staff helpful. Gave us a candy bar when checking out! Clean comfy room. Nice balcony"

"Very accessible to take Highway one up or north very convenience for visiting her castle nothing fancy just to clean room and bathroom little fresh microwave. Make some coffee or Tv you open you sleep with Windows open nighttime yeah I hear the way hitting the rocks easy very nice thank you."

"This is a lovely Inn. I stayed in a room with a view of the ocean and it was one of the best views I’ve ever had. This place is old, but it’s clean, if you want everything modern and up-to-date. This isn’t the place for you. The only drawback was the cell phone reception the only Internet available is via AT&T. If you have anything else, you will have no Internet reception."

"The room is big, clean and looks new. Breakfast was very good with lots of choices, like waffles, hot and cold cereals, eggs filled with cheese, bacon and potatoes and many more. The hotel is walking distance to the beach, restaurants and short drive to Hearst Castle, Cambria and Moonstone beach. We will definitely stay here again."
