The location was great even if not reachable by car. They were kind to come and get us at the parking. The location was close to Ibla, which is what we wanted to visit.

Be prepare. Parking space is limited and can be challenging to find in Ragusa.
The hotel claims to have parking but it's not really true, there is street parking maybe 5 minutes away, but the hotel itself is in an uphill pedestrian street. The hotel is in a series of really old houses nicely renovated. Being old stone houses, it's pretty humid inside. The reception area looks nice, but they only open it when you arrive and call them, otherwise there is no one. When we arrived we hit a closed door until someone came to help us.

The property is in an amazing town with much history. The biggest problem is access. We made reservations five months before we arrived and at that time we requested a room on a lower floor, knowing the topography of the town and that some rooms had many steps. My wife and I are not kids but when we arrived, after not being met at the train station as promised we had to carry our bags up about 75-100 steps to our room. The room was large was and clean and after several attempts at resetting the WiFi, we settled in. The hotel appears empty but we could not change rooms. We we’re definitely the only guests left, upon checking out. I would not recommend unless you were guaranteed a room on a lower floor especially if stairs are an issue.
Ambiente silenzioso e sicuro. È pulito e arredato con gusto. Mi sono trovata molto bene.
I loved the setting and old world town. The room was huge and clean and comfortable. As it was low season the reception was not open when we arrived but we were able to contact someone on the phone. Also restaurant was not open for breakfast but we were given a voucher for a bistro in main square.
As an old town on a hill, the streets were narrow steep and cobbled which made access difficult for anyone with mobility issues.
Minor gripe was that toilet flush was temperamental and not really enough hot water for two of us to shower.
But the people were lovely and helpful and overall our stay here was good
Very interesting area and ‘distributed’ property with interesting decor. Did not realize fridge was a minibar as it was stocked only with water for which we were charged. Many places provide free water because tap water isnt nice. Parking and breakfast wasn't really free yet this place came up despite those Expedia filters.9

Not expensive so good value for money. Big rooms. Low quality breakfast
We stayed in Hotel dell'Orologio for 3 nights and it was a perfect staying for visiting the stunning east side of Sicily by car, Ragusa ibla, Modica, noto, marzamemi, Siracusa. the hotel is a little renewed jewel with all comforts but yet with the Sicilian tradition and atmosphere as it is placed at the beginning of ragusa ibla. Try to detach from the standard concept of an hotel, as the rooms are kind of small apartments of the same anchient building, so kind of different but sooo special and beautiful. Reccommend, perfect for quality price balance!!
Lovely B&B in the heart of historical Ragusa. Wonderful and helpful staff that helped us make dinner reservations. And what an extraordinary breakfast - beyond exquisite! Thank you Claudia!
Not the easiest to find late at night without a SatNav when an access is blocked by ongoing repairs to church (Santa Maria delle Scala?). However, a very spacious and comfortable room with character and an excellent view from the roof terrace above. Now that we have discovered the lie-of-the-land, it is a place I would very much like to return to. It is a good base from where to explore southeastern Sicily which has a lot of diverse attractions.
This is a charming newly renovated hotel tucked away in a beautiful little avenue in Ragussa Ibla. Our host was fantastic and I don't think any guest would want for anything. The breakfast was very nice and offered a good range of local flavours, especially good breads and cheeses. We would like to publicly give a special thank you to the owner, who in true Sicilian form was most generous and kindly. I do not hesitate to recommend this hotel to anyone.
If you're looking for a nice place in the middle of old Ragusa (Ilba), stay here! Super friendly staff, nice comfortable room, and plenty of room to spread out. If you're driving, there is a free parking lot just a few minute walk (up a large flight of stairs, FYI) from the hotel. The hotel will give you helpful directions to walk to their lobby, but let me add one note: The street numbers on Via Ioppolo are kind of confusing. When you think you should have arrived and the street numbers jump past 12 (the address number of the hotel), don't worry...just keep walking. The lobby will be on your left side about 100ft further. Enjoy your stay!
Very enjoyable stay in Ragusa. Giorgio met us on the car park and did a luggage run up to the apartment in his battered Fiat - one look at the tight lanes and alleys and you knew why it was battered. The apartment was spacious and cool - even in the summer heat. The bed was comfortable and you could achieve near black-out conditions within the apartment so a good nights sleep was easily achieved. Reception & breakfast room was a short walk down the hill, where Giorgio and his staff team looked after us brilliantly. Breakfast was of a high standard with local cheeses / sausage and freshly cooked frittata omelette plus a selection of pastries and excellent coffee (made in a variation you wanted). Returning to the apartment it was always clean & tidy with a bottle of water in the fridge.
