Very good hotel

Great location. Not far from the mall. Adjacent to a huge garden that is worth a visit. Spacious and large room. A rich, varied breakfast and very tasty. A team that is very helpful and has a service consciousness. I won't give a 5 stars review due to an unpleasant malfunction of drainage in the shower and sink.

After driving the Transfăgărășan this is the perfect end to the day. It's a little off course if you're heading back to Bucharest, but well worth the extra 30 mins drive. I was a little skeptical as we drove there - the roads are a little bumpy, the "towns" a little sketchy, and it feels like you're driving into nowhere's land, but then you make it to the city and are pleasantly surprised (aka relieved). The hotel sides onto a park, the staff was great, room was big as was the bathroom. We had dinner downstairs on the patio which was wonderful (ask for a local wine call Stirbey - white was phenomenal, rose not so much). Breakfast was nothing to rave about, but what you'd expect from a buffet. They also have a pool and saunas - we checked it out, but didn't use it., looked clean though. I don't usually leave Expedia reviews, but felt the need to share my experience at this little gem.

Romantic hotel in central location

One of the better hotels in this small city with a swimming pool, sauna and even an included breakfast. I had a nice stay yet the rooms could do with some updates. There is also a park right next to the hotel.

Übernachtung in Ramnicu Valcea

Unser Zimmer war sehr sauber, geräumig und schön eingerichtet. Der Teppichboden auf dem Flur hatte schon bessere Tage und müsste ausgetauscht werden. Das Schwimmbad war schön und sauber. Das Frühstück war super mit viel Auswahl. Es gibt kostenlose Parkplätze.

Clean & Comfortable

GHS was a wonderful hotel- we were sad to stay only one night. The staff were attentive and helpful, and the parking was totally accessible. The room was huge for the three people in my party, and there was extra towels and toiletries waiting upon arrival. The front desk gave us a great dinner recommendation because there was something missing from their dinner menu that we wanted. We didn’t get to check out the spa but the treatments sounded great. Would definitely come back if I’m back in rimnicu vulcea area. About a half hour drive to Curtea De Arges.

Superb hotel !!!!! Luxurious and modern!

I am forever charmed by this hotel. To think that I made the booking by mistake and I ended up in paradise, is just the cherry on top of the cake. So beautiful, so well situated, surrounded by nature, in all its splendor. The staff is extremely sweet and knowledgeable, a trait specific to all Romanian hosts. Mihaela, from the breakfast buffet tried extra hard to heal my migraine and succeeded! We were given all the attention in the world, by all staff members. The previous night, one of the waiters offered to get me some medicine from a pharmacy. I was just overwhelmed with this kind of treatment and kindness. Everybody spoke highly of the owners, which is so rare and admirable! The pool is excellent and the rooms and corridors have an old charm, that only big palaces used to exhibit. All in all, I am absolutely enchanted!

Short & sweet but I'd definitely stay there again

Beautiful hotel and overall had a comfortable stay but as we were there for a music competition, we didn't really have the opportunity to take advantage of all the amenities available, like pool sauna etc. Only disappointment was that I had booked a double room but on arrival they said they only had twin bed room for price I paid but I could upgrade to a 'deluxe' room for an extra 10EUR, only to discover that it was a twin as well! To be fair the booking was very short notice but I couldn't understand the logic of the room change. It was a lovely room in every other way - good wifi, lovely bathroom, safe, fridge and above all quiet. Excellent breakfast spread (cooked & continental) and staff very attentive & helpful. Another plus point was parking on site with attendant. I would definitely stay there again & hopefully have more time to enjoy it.
