Lovely, natural, off the beaten path

There were few other guests, but the family of owners were inedible friendly! If you are looking for a quiet stay at a good price, away from the hustle and bustle of Mt Kinabalu, and right next to the Poring Hot Springs, this is an excellent choice.

Peaceful and secluded. Friendly staff. It looked like we were the first guests for several years. Very run down and delapidated and in need of a major overhaul. On the plus side, it was a very nice hot shower but the sink only gave a trickle of water!

Perfect for what I needed, basic and convenient to the hot springs. There were quite a few ants in my room and the sink pipe was dripping, but the bed was very comfy and Jenny is a very friendly host.

This was a cool place to stay with fish ponds and animals all around. It was very close to the hot springs. The electricity went out on numerous occasions, to be expected, it did not dampen our stay here.

The place was great and the owner was very friendly and kind. We even got the permission to checkout at a later time as we were hiking to waterfall in the morning (and there were no new check-in for our room that day). The place is very close to Poring hotspring, canopy walkway, kipungit and langanan waterfall. The entry route however was not likeable. Passing through small stream of river, then hiking some uneven up-sloping road and some stretch of bumpy rocky paveway. Should be very cautious if you rent compact/compact sedan. Albeit that, it is a great place to stay.

Excellent place if you are looking something out of the ordinary. Serene surrounding and friendly locals. A retreat-like stay. Rough gravel road for about 2km and a hill (not advisable for low skirting cars). Beautiful place and breathtaking views. Farm-like place with chicken, rabbit, duck, and quail. Kitchen space with plenty of appliances free to use 24hrs. Friendly owners and staff. Quite clean room but limited space in room and small toilet. Hot shower. Very cold in early morning and at night. Fresh air and a fun place. No near food place. It gets dark and foggy at night. Better to be back at the lodge early as there are no street light on the way to lodge.

Highly recommended for a break in the countryside

Very nice owners and great area in the countryside. Simple but clean rooms. We recommend the new Family rooms with 5 beds. There is a river 5 minutes away. Close to the poring hot springs and the hikes in the Kitanabalu Park.

Great location - Friendly hosts

Location is awesome, surrounded by nature, about 10 mins away from main road. So yes, you do have to walk to get to the main road, but it's a nice walk, I didn't complain. Bed was comfortable, I booked a dorm bed but I had the whole room for myself because there were no other guests. Hosts were very welcoming, really nice people. The kitchen staff was always speaking very loud, and for someone who went there to have a relaxing evening, I couldn't sleep before 10pm. Toilets were ok, but could be better.

Poring alternative accommodation

Great place, clean and quiet... a bit of a hike to get here (please fix the map reference - way out), but pleasantly surprised by this place. I would definitely stay here again!

If they have swimming pool will give 4 star overal

3 minit driving from Hot Spring Ranau to the resort. Road condition is just fine (gravel and small). Staying one night was really great and I highly recommend to any one want to have piece this is the place to stay.
