One of the few busy town centres left in the UK. Nice river area. Some great characters, and a mix of people types. Swans eat from your hand. Buskers. Happy mood.. it was sunny.

Its a bustling town, but night times can feel unsafe to strangers. Lots of beggars on the street but normally a good police presence and town pastors too. Like any uni town it can be rowdy and feel intimidating but thats the world we live in.

All good , no need for a car as bus service is fantastic and cheap and train station is 2 mins walk. Reading not the easist to drive round so Id leave the car at home

Great location close to station. Parking a little further from hotel, but discounted for Ibis guests. Central location so some street noise balanced by the abundance of eating/shopping available.
