Austin Regal Gateway Hotels

"Everything about this hotel started out great. The breakfast is amazing and is served until 11 on the weekends. The bar/restaurant that they also offer in the main lobby has great food and great drinks with all fair prices. The room was awesome and the big window at the end of our king sized bed that looked over Austin was really cool. Being right at the Domain was of course a huge plus because the shopping options were readily nearby ans avaliable. But. On the morning of our checkout date, we accidentally overslept. Therefore I called to the front desk and apologized and explained to them that we had already pre-paid on Hotels.com for a new reservation but that I understood that we would be needing to change rooms bc I had paid for us to have a bigger king suite. Which was all fine and okay at first. They even grabted us an extra 30 minutes to get our things together to switch rooms. But once we had about 5 minutes left and were literally moments from walking out of the door with our belongings, the room phone started ringing and my boyfriend answered it and it was a manager from the front desk letting us know that not only could we not switch to a different room, but we had to immediately leave the property because they found our inability to have ourselves ready to chang rooms on time as "suspicious activity". That was absolutely insulting. I started crying from how embarrassing it was to have to take that walk of shame to the parking garage. We did nothing wrong at all..."

"It was comfy. Although the garage still charged me $40 a night even though I scanned the guest QR code which is annoying bc all the other garages at the domain are free parking. I did hear babies crying but I was also next to the elevator. I’d definitely stay again. "

"Room was clean, staff was friendly. Elevator was not operational at the time of the stay. The breakfast was nice and had some variety. There is a pool, basketball court, and a rest area outside. Not too far from the Domain so lots of places to eat and shop. Outside paint needs a refresh and you have to pay to park there over night ($5). "

"We stayed in the luxury suite and it was very luxurious to say the least. Good size room with a comfortable sectional couch, comfortable and clean king size bed, and they provide Kevin Murphy shampoo, conditioner, body wash and lotion. Room was very clean. The hot tub and pool were also very clean and fun to lounge in. "

"Just an fyi-tv channels are sparse and what is on does not match the channel it says (example-tv said it was mtv but it was a weather station, said hbo, but was some sort of sport). There were several channels that were not available (Freeform, tnt, tbs). I spent my first evening watching friends reruns on Nickelodeon. Could not cast from my phone either."
