“We stayed here for two nights and we were astounded how good the hotel was for the price that we paid. The room was ample size, spotlessly clean and had everything that we needed. The staff were all really friendly and welcoming. The food (both breakfast and dinner) were excellent and great value for money. We have already booked to return next year. Particular praise must go to the lady (I don't know her name) that served behind the bar, served the dinners and worked in the breakfast room in……

“Nice clean and practical hotel, room was a decent standard, would use again although you do get noise from outside all night from likely the air conditioning units. ”

“A great stay. Away from it all authentic in the middle-of-nowhere stay, with only 6 miles from Woodbridge. Len excelled with making us feel absolutely at home. A wonderful host. Fascinating story about the farm buildings, his beekeeping, and life in general. A wonderful host. Breakfast was excellent, Barbara doing a great job in the kitchen. We found a great route from the local village by the river into Woodbridge. If you want to get away from it all this place has it. ”

“Nice and simple interior”

“Comfortable room with excellent tea making supplies - and a good sized mug each! The floor fan was useful as it was very warm. The hotel kindly allowed a later check out with a prompt and polite response to our request. Check in was efficient and simple. The evening meal was superb - great value and the pavlova! Wow! Chef’s kiss! All in all - a beautiful historic building and a really enjoyable stay. We will return I am sure. ”

“There was no bedside light (despite there being two bedside tables) and no rubbish bin in the room. The curtains did not close properly. One window had a crack in it and there is no double glazing so the road outside was noisy. It was very hot, but we kept the windows closed to try to reduce the noise (no aircon).The staff were very helpful however (having moved us from a different room as the bathroom light wasn't working in that one).”

“Property was wonderful! Large kitchen /dining area ready family meal. If you want to cook there everything you need is there already to prepare meals. Large comfortable living area. Bed was comfortable and warm. Property right across from the beach and close to center of the town. We had a great visit!!”
