What a great log cabin to stay in. Right on the river, close to Marquette and lots of local natural attractions. The owners were outstanding and super friendly. We may try to come back for a snowmobile stay in the winter.
we all went up to Republic to do a lot of sledding. Cabin did not disappoint. Sauna was wonderful after a day of sledding. Perfect spot to go out snowmobling in any direction. Would stay here again
It was me and my wife and another couple we came to fish and relax we got both. The Sullivan's are awesome people they made sure we had everything we need all the amenities of home. We had awesome time there looking to go back i would highly recommend this place to anyone who asked me about my stay there
We really enjoyed are time at the cabin. It was large and well maintained. We had plenty of room for 6 of us. We enjoyed the sauna and the area. It is a good central location to visit the UP attractions with an hour drive or so. The owners who live a couple of doors down are very friendly. It was also awesome that we could take our dog along as she enjoyed the hikes as well.
This house was perfect for our family. We love beeing outside, on the river. There are kayaks for use and we used them every day. It was so relaxing. Marquette is only about 30 minutes away, so it was convenient for a farmers market and swim in lake Superior. The hiuse had everything we needed to cook meals. Even 2 different types of coffee makers. The hosts are incredible. Very knowledgeable about the area and helpfull. We would definitely stay here again.
Wonderful view and confortable accomodations. The shower had great water pressure. The owners were friendly and personable. Would definitely stay again.
Liked: Cleanliness, amenities, property conditions & facilities, communication
The property is near Van Riper State Park. There are gas station, market, couple antique shops near by, The cabin is well stocked with daily needs. The hosts live nearby and they’re very helpful. Highly recommended.
Cabin was cozy and spacious at the same time. Plenty of room for our family of 6 to spread out.
Well stocked kitchen. The extra soap and shampoo was appreciated!
The basement is a lovely surprise- the many streaming services on the tv, the games, books and puzzles. And the sauna!!!
The view out the living room and from the porch is why we chose to stay here. The kayaks were a great bonus as well.
The perfect retreat.
Very nice log cabin. Great location for a snowmobile trip. Accommodated 7 adults easily with room to spare. We put a air mattress in the basement next to the bed, and a cot in the loft area next to two beds. Very clean with all the accommodations. Beautiful property right on the river. A mini Mart and a bar and restaurant right at the end of the driveway. Trail access directly across the street. Plenty of trailer parking. Great response time with the owners. Everything was exactly what the listing says. I would recommend this property for any type of a vacation.
This property was very nice! Everything we needed was there and then some! Very clean and roomy! It was pet friendly which was a nice bonus, and the dogs loved the property, especially being on the river and being able to jump in and swim! We were busy during the days chasing waterfalls and it was so nice to come back to a very comfortable place to unwind. Republic is a very pretty area and we did walk the dogs in the mornings before we took off on the adventures of the day. The hosts, Charlie and Shelly were so kind and friendly and checked in on us a few times. We would
definitely stay here again!!
This cabin was well stocked and well taken care of, the host were very accommodating and even met us at 11:00 at night and make sure we knew how everything worked in the cabin and where everything was located to make it very easy for us. The beds were comfortable and we had everything we needed. It was a great location for us to visit picture Rock and many waterfalls. The quaint little town of Republic was very accommodating the breakfast at the restaurant was great thanks to Charlie for recommending it to us. We would recommend this cabin to anyone visiting the area.
Seemless check in/out - welcoming hosts that truly want you to enjoy your stay, even asked us if there was anything particular they could have available for us. Home is well stocked and even has hotel like amenities if you forget something. As other reviews state - watch the corner of master bed 😊. Would highly recommend and hope to visit during summer in the future.
Booked this for a local car race in the area to house my race team. The home was stocked with all needed amenities, the location was great, charming surroundings, and the owners Charlie and Shelly were extremely hospitable. I would not hesitate staying here again.
We loved the cabin for our week long stay in the UP. It had absolutely everything we needed, including special extras like a sauna and fresh baked cookies! We loved being right on the water with access to kayaks. We loved sitting on the pour here with our coffee in the morning. Most of our hikes were in Marquette which was an easy 30-45 minute drive. We only had 2 adults but I think it could have comfortably slept 4-6 adults/2-4 kids. 10/10 would stay again!
Very beautiful home and property! We didn't really spend much time at the property, but when we did we found everything we needed there. Our only recommendations would be to warn guests of the evil master bed frame lol. The couple who stayed in the master all left with bruises on their thighs from hitting into the pointed wood frame. Also maybe try to fit a queen bed in the other room that currently has a double bed as the second adult couple found it to be tight. The sauna was really nice and we all enjoyed it! Also love the deck furniture and grill on the back deck, was so nice and quiet just sitting out there in the morning drinking our coffee, watching the hummingbirds and the chipmunks! Love the kayaks too!
Arrived to the cabin with hosts pulling fresh cookies out of the oven. Well stocked with basic necessities, plus some of the things you probably forgot to pack! Very clean, beautiful property on a peaceful river in a quiet town.
Hosts are very friendly and go above and beyond to make your stay absolutely wonderful!
