We paid a premium price for a very standard room. Double bed with hard pillows. Very dated in the decor and furnishings. I was disappointed with the whole experience. Set menu for the evening was very pricy and was underwhelming. Breakfast was what saved the day, nice ingredients, great selection. Staff were friendly.

Overall stay spoiled by slow service at dinner in restaurant.48minutes between ordering and first course being served.I had to go to staff to find out what was happening.The same happened to a couple on the next table.Very poor communication from staff.Spoiled the meal.

Service, food & staff were amazing, we had a housekeeping issue with our room which was dealt with immediately & professionally, we were staying two nights attending a large Birthday party lunch. If you want a relaxing home from home hotel, go for it!!

Beautiful rooms, attentive staff, great breakfast

Staff were very friendly, used my first name which made the experience personal. Breakfast is great, one of the best I have ever had. I had a classic double room and it was comfortable and beautifully decorated

The staff and food could not have been better but our Classic double room left a lot to be desired!! The bathroom was very poor and the extractor sounded like a tractor, therefore you couldn't put the light on in the bathroom during the night if you needed the toilet ( had to use the torch on our phones). Also as the toilet was under the eaves and my husband is six foot tall, he found using it awkward!! The towels were lovely n clean but the shower cubicle was not. We would go back but not in a classic double room.
