“turtles were amazing and a great experience overall! had no hot water. I understand there is no electricity but why not put a barrel on top of the building and paint it black? Also had no choice when to leave the place but with a 10am boat which was early given the overnight search for turtles, would have been nice to stay longer, the place is nice and peaceful.”

“Great spot on the beach and centrally located in town. Room was small but very clean. Lots of storage space. Staff friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good. Pool area had lots of seating and shade. Lovely lush grounds. ”

“AC was excellent and much needed in hot, humid climate. Awesome view. Family room was excellent for cost value. Unfortunately, new obnoxious bar next door plays terrible music late into the night. Not the fault of the guesthouse and maybe not an issue mid week. ”

The staff were all very nice and extremely helpful, particularly Leo who was regularly ensuring that we were happy with everything. Breakfast is made to order to suit your preferences and was very tasty. Nice hammocks to relax in. The staff even took our luggage to the dock for us”

“Our stay for our family of 4 at Aninga Lodge was fantastic. The room was clean and convenient. We spent a lot of time at the pool with the kids, they loved it, especially when the monkeys and toucans were hanging out in the trees. The staff were very friendly and attentive. The only downside we found was the transportation between the hotel and Tortuguero town. There is a boat provided for the hotel every few hours, but it isn't often enough to be convenient. “Casa Marbella is a great place to stay. It's centrally located, has scenic views of the cannal and is close to the national park. The upstairs bedrooms on the cannal side are the best rooms.”

“Petit hôtel familial, chambre correcte .un peu loin du centre mais plus calme ..5mn des embarquements . Accès un peu perturbant car on se perd un peu dans les ruelles du village mais on s’y fait très vite . 3mn de la mer 3mn des restos petit déjeuner simple mais correct . Ambiance très sympa..”
