Cheguei quinta na semana do Rock in Rio, desisti de um hostel pela localização enganosa, praticamente só tenha sobrado esse na zs e perto do metro, só no hoteis.com, foi um achado, tanto pelo nivel quanto pelo baixo valor pago, pelas avaliações até superou a minha expectativa, cama confortavel (treliche , quem ficar em cima deve ser ruim), locker grande, varanda boa, area de bar e cafe da manha otimos, banheiros que sao sempre critados em hosteis esteve com limpeza até que boa. O metro e praia estao a 500mts, mercado 80mts. Pontos negativos é que a luz sensor do banheiro acaba em 2 minutos, tipo seu banho tem que ser nesse tempo. O banheiro é pequeno. A segurança é muito fraca, pode entrar qualquer um no hostel sem ser notado e no quarto tambem, pois nao tem chave. O meu quarto com ventilador quebrado, de dia iria sofrer pois o ar só é ligado a noite. A acustica fraco do quarto, ouve-se o barulho no corredor e escada com facilidade. Resumindo, ha muitos hostel melhores com preços proximos em datas sem muita demanda, mas feriado e grande eventos,vale a pena o custo beneficio

As beliches são muito baixas dando um certo desconforto para levantar e se sentar. Outra coisa é a acústica, muito barulho e uma passada no corredor já se escuta como se fosse dentro do quarto. Fora isso o atendimento é bom, o café é muito bom e a localização boa. Temos até um hospital em frente para uma emergência. Foi bom.

Excellent hostel!

Best hostel on our trip so far. (4 months travelling until now) It's really clean and welcoming! Is in a quiet sidestreet in Copacabana, close to everything like the main street and the beach! Owners are supernice and helping! Not expensive at all and you get a lot of quality for your money! Definately recommended!!

Las fotos del hostel eran del misti. Ahora lo estaban remodelando , alquilaron habitaciones que no estaban terminadas y la gente se tuvo que ir a otro lugar. Me gustaria dar una opinion cuando este terminado, durante nuestra estadia era un hostel en construccion.

Propaganda enganosa

A estadia no Riocopa Hostel foi muito ruim. Fui enganada pelas fotos do site e quando cheguei, não era nada disso. Uma hospedagem com uma equipe despreparada, com funcionários que não falam português; banheiros extremamente sujos com chuveiros quebrados que não tem água quente; quartos pequenos com triliches que mais parece cela de cadeia ou acampamento do exército. Somente há beleza no hall do hostel. Os funcionários são legais mas estão visivelmente perdidos, pois nem sabem qual cama está ocupada. Esta é uma acomodação com muito hóspede de índole duvidosa e mal intencionados, além de não ter a devida segurança com cadeados nos guarda bagagens, pois meu dinheiro que estava na minha carteira sumiu, então além de tudo fui furtada. Em um dos dias, informaram que tinha um invasor dormindo no hostel. Não recomendo e não voltaria, pois é um local que não oferece o mínimo necessário e insegurança bem no Rio de Janeiro.

ich war 12 Tage in dem Hostel El Misti und habe insgesamt eine sehr gute Erfahrung gemacht. Sehr sauber, zentral, vieles zu Fuß erreichbar, alle sind sehr zuvorkommend und hilfsbereit, würde definitiv wieder dort hingehen.

Fine location, nice enough staff, sturdy bunks.

The reception area staff spoke adequate English, unfortunately in Rio, adequate is the best you will be looking to get so don't see this as a plus or minus. However they were welcoming and friendly. I didn't find them too attentive. The triple level bunks had ladders however the double bunks (at least in my room) came without. The bunks were sturdy and mattress comfortable, however not much head room when seated on the side. The hostel offered breakfast from 8/9 (i never woke up early enough to critique) coffee and tea available throughout. On to the negatives; i have to be brutally candid about the often poor state of the shower/toilet rooms. There was 5 rooms with one shower and toilet, designed for one person. Mornings were a pain to queue up for. This isn't really something that can be overcome without redesigning the entire hostel. However a rigid morning shift stock up routine would have resolved the issue of finishing on the toilet without sheet to wipe. The last thing regarding the shower and this deserves an additional paragraph. The floor in the shower and toilet room would be covered in black muck/sand from people walking around in bare feet, this would be exacerbated by pubes from and in the shower and beard trimmings near the sink, the floor wet and easy to slip on. I hope someone remembers to take a photo of the shower area to augment what i have stated, wish i did. A simple shower padding on the floor would have remedied the most hazardous.

hostel con buena ubicacion.

Los primeros días la habitación no tenia aire ni ventilador, tuvimos muchísimo calor, una noche tuve que dormir en la sala de estar que tenia un ventilador, después solucionaron el tema. Otro inconveniente fue la limpieza de los baños, muchas veces nos resultaba imposible ocuparlos. En cuanto a la sala de recepción no se podia estar del calor, no cuenta ni con ventilador. Las positivas fueron el desayuno, bastante completo, la atencion del personal, muy amables! y la ubicacion me gusto mucho! en el centro de copacabana, al lado de un hospital y un supermercado en la esquina. Ah y me olvidaba de los platos que ofrecian por la noche como opcion, eran economicos y abundantes, el cocinero argentino un genio (no recuerdo el nombre).

Well, for the low Copacabana price ... after going to 3 other hostels, I came back ... the BEST sleep I had all year, even at home (it is now end of year) ... the cleaning staff is always around working and smiling ... open air entrance/lounge/breakfast and bar area. The breezy, sunny bedroom, is total comfort compared to other low prices hostels in the area. very secure road, with giant, beautiful mountain hospital at near end of road. Hostel is right under majestic rio mountain. direct walk to the world famous copacabana beach. Laid back, but responspible hostel good for families, couples, and friends, and anyone, from anywhere. It IS low priced, and does have thus, with the conditions of furniture, except ... the mattresses, everyone is so happy with their beds ... sometimes it seems people are spending more time in bed, than going out. But so, you get all your money back from the quality of the experience.

Não gostamos por ser muito barulhento som alto até muito tarde não tem conforto não ter privacidade de banheiro no quarto os que existiam velhos e sujos hotel pra jovens e adolescentes que só querem curtir e não pra quem quer passear com família e descansar. Não recomendado a ninguém é não voltaria. Desculpe a sinceridade mais pura verdade. O hotel não oferece nem água aos hóspedes muito caro para não oferecer nada além de um simples café da manhã. A cidade é realmente linda tirando hotel demais foi excelente meu filho odiou o wifi não é bom e tv só na recepção fiz reserva pelo telefone hotéis.com e nada que o atendente falou era arrependia por não ter consultado na Internet as acomodações se é que podemos considerar assim.

WiFi did not work at all, was too far from beach, toilets/showers were never available in the evenings and they were always soaked and unclean. Noisy everywhere. Staff were great and friendly. Nice friendly atmosphere with nightly dinners.

o que compensa este lugar seria a localização pois a acomodação do quarto de 18 camas é pessimo , o wifi nao funcionou por 4 dias, o cafe da manha e fraco, por isso existem opções melhores por um preço semelhante.

One night stay

Just one night stay in a shared room. Staff is ok. You get the linens sealed. Bedroom is small and its furniture is 18 beds (bunk beds with trundle) and two fans. That's all. So, most of the time this room is not a good idea to stay because Rio is a very hot city and that room will be like hell. Breakfast is simple but good. Options: watermellon and melon, bread, butter and a cake. To drink: coffee, milk and tea.

Had a great stay during Rio Carnaval. The staff was great, athmosphere really good, great location is a safe area a short walk from the beach. The room I was in had an AC and a fan, so the temperature and comfort was good. Definitely coming back next year! :)

The accomodation is near Copacapana beah, so u can go there for walk. and they serve different dinner every day(you have to pay 18 Brazilian Real) and they serve free breakfast(it is contained by your pay). But showerroom is too narrow and a little bit dirty and if u sleep on the 3rd floor bed, it will be uncomfortable a little. But everything except for these is OK.

Last minute booking, ended up with great experienc

Vi bookede i sidste øjeblik, og havde ingen egentlige forventninger. Da vi med taxa fra lufthavnen kom frem, var det et trygt sted vi blev sat af (trods det var midt i Rio de Janeiro kl.23:40). Da døren åbnede oplevede vi varm og hjælpsom velkomst. God internet, velfungerende badeforhold, og god varieret morgen dagen efter.

Pros: friendly, helpful, patient staff; good breakfast; good dinners; good bar; good location; direct shuttle pick-up for tours / adventures; guests were mostly respectful towards one another. Cons: no running water for 20-30% of our stay (however, there was a hostel about a block away that allowed us to use their facilities in the meantime); the heat in the upper suites was at times unbearable; pricey during Carnaval.
