「The grounds were exceptional!! Beautiful, lush, vegetation and majestic mature trees. We enjoyed the bird songs in the morning. It is an easy walk to the pristine river/cove where the fresh water from the river meets the salt water of the ocean. The setting is serene. It allows you to be with your thoughts and could be a good place to write a book. The rooms, though spacious and habitable are in dire need of renovations. With renovations, Frenchman's Cove could be more than a Five Star hotel!」

「My family and I spent one night over our 4 day adventure in Portland. Our first time experiencing an eco-tourism type of accommodation. It was amazing. We stayed in the Fig Tree hut and all I can say is it is the best room of the house. They are undergoing some renovation but no disruption to our stay. 「The view from the property overlooking the sea was beautiful and phenomenal. The room space was sufficient and clean. What I didn’t like was the fact that to get there, the drive up to the house was very steep and if you don’t know how to handle the drive, it’s problematic. The second thing I didn’t like was that while the property boasted about having a pool, it was only when me and my family arrived we were informed that the pool wasn’t working due to not filtering properly.
