Perfect location. Excellent breakfast. We stayed in Room 11 with a view of the cathedral which is just over the street. The hotel is a very old building so it's a bit quirky which I like and obviously not modern. We are already planning our next visit.

Stunning building, great location. But won’t be for me in future as I don’t travel light and too many stairs for me (no lift). And no a/c which was okay for one night! But can’t beat location for town centre. Food lovely

We arrived late Saturday night, the staff were welcoming and helpful. Diners were leaving the restaurant and having a late drink in the reception lounge, so we went straight down as the atmosphere and service was again great. The next morning the breakfast was brilliant and the service personnel and informative. The location could not have been any better for the historic part of town and a great starting point for a long walk on Sunday.

The parking was amazing and we were able to check-in early, situated within a minutes walk of the cathedral and shops were located very near. The facilities were brilliant and the staff were so helpful. Breakfast was out of this world. If you get the chance you must pay this place a visit the whole experience was magnificent.
The building was magnificent and steeped with history

I don't normally write reviews but was very pleased with our stay at the Old Deanery The staff were very helpful and pleasant to talk to. The breakfast was excellent and unique. Parking was good and even the owner of the Old Deanery suggested that we moved our classic car as it was parked under a tree to a more open space. The property is more or less opposite the Cathedral in Ripon so very convenient for the centre of town. Due to the unusual hot weather there were even fans in our room to help cool things down.

There was plenty room to park and the staff were welcoming and polite. Having booked a superior room we were disappointed that we had been allocated an attic bedroom with a small very window. Although the room itself was quite large the plaster and paint work was in need of some restoration. With regards to breakfast, it was ‘over complicated’ it would have been much easier to have a menu and then choose what you want at the table. The food itself self was too fancy just serve good quality wholesome food.
